    Uh, they're not talking about birds killed by the power lines. They're talking about birds killed by flying into the moving turbine blades. Those are, obviously, bird deaths that don't happen with other types of power generation.

    Nope, you're right, that works. But things are getting pretty complicated at that point--the attack has to have access to my laptop, wait for me to use it again without my realizing it's been tampered with and then access things a second time to collect. It's not perfect security, but things are getting a little tenuous there.

    Can you encrypt the hard disk with a Mac? Physical access to my Ubuntu laptop isn't gonna get you anything if you don't have the passphrase for decrypting my hard disk.

    This wasn't a turn-signal. This was being overtly threatening. This was the equivalent of driving down the road while holding up a sign that says, "I've got a bomb!" That gets, yes, SWAT teams and snipers, until they've proved that you are in fact not a threat.

    First of all "Individuals can create personal wi-fi networks on devices such as mobile phones and name them what they want." Well, no shit.

    Exactly. This is like holding up a sign that says "I've got a bomb!" You can easily do this when there is in fact no bomb, but it's still gonna get a drastic reaction.

    I have to set up a table in Word. In Excel, the table is right there, ready to use immediately. Why should I waste my time and go to the trouble of formatting a table somewhere else?

    How much does a bullet weigh, genius?

    A bullet needs a gun to fire it. You also need a lot of bullets to have any real chance of hitting something., At this point you are talking about a fairly large amount of weight.
