I specifically avoid VEVO because of how they've mucked with the player.. Youtube is a STREAMING service, but VEVO effectively removes that streaming capability.
You can't just load a VEVO video, let it buffer, and watch it when it's ready. It only streams while it's playing. If I don't have all of my (1mbit) line open, I can't watch it. AT ALL. If I want to watch the video again, it won't just play from the already-buffered download.. it has to start ALL OVER.
Screw VEVO. I refuse to watch any video uploaded by them.
Dr. Horrible was streamed free, in its entirety, from the website. They also had a Torrent going. They made back all the money from donations via PayPal...
Then they removed the free version, killed the Torrent, and made it available only through iTunes for whatever price.
I'm glad I kept my downloaded copy, because I wanted to show it to friends and discovered that you couldn't just go and watch it anymore..
If you download the media you're still endorsing the RIAA and MPAA. You're demonstrating that they're the ones creating the content that people want and you're still legitimising what they produce.
False.
The MAFIAA are simply Promoters, Publicists, and Producers. They do not Create.
Yeah, it'll piss off every Grandma and Grandpa with an infected computer, but really.. the best way to deal with these massive botnets is to have the ISPs disable those accounts and contact the owners.
If your Admins are concerned about Users running programs that weren't installed by an Administrator, why do they allow Users to run programs that exist in their User directory?
I played Quake 1 back in the early 90s, and I couldn't stand WASD.. I don't have large hands or fat fingers, and it just felt cramped. I've been using this setup ever since, in pretty much any game that uses the keyboard for movement. I based it off of the "home keys":
E = Move forward (middle)
X = Move backwards (middle)
A = Strafe left (pinky)
F = Strafe right (pointer)
S = Turn left (ring)
D = Turn right (middle)
Which gives me all of these keys for utility:
Q = Drop/Discard (pinky)
W = Use/Interact (ring)
R = Reload (pointer)
T = Target (pointer)
G = Grenade (pointer)
Z = Special/Item (ring)
C = Crouch (pointer)
V = Vehicle (pointer)
B = Buy (pointer)
Space = Jump (thumb)
And my usual mouse setup:
Mouse1 = Fire (pointer)
Mouse2 = Alt-Fire (ring)
Mouse4 = Autorun (thumb)
Mouse5 = Special (thumb)
Mousewheel Click = Voice (middle)
Mousewheel Up = Zoom toggle (middle)
Mousewheel Down = Cycle weapons (middle)

Just because something is popular doesn't make it any less shitty. Examples: Twilight, Justin Bieber, PayPal.
Multiple Login is specifically for being logged in to several accounts at once. If you personally have multiple accounts, that's the intended purpose.
In a family-using-one-computer situation, the correct method is to click the Log Out button, and have that family member log in to their own account.
Doesn't work with my local DSL provider.
However, the local Cable provider is supported. (Big surprise!)
Funniest part? The DSL provider rents their lines from the Cable provider.
Watch Vevo YouTube music videos.

80-foot HD wall monitors, 8 LCDs on every desk... but no high-def picture of the setup.
California ISO, I am disappoint.
Minecraft isn't as impressive as you think.
Minecraft didn't have to spend millions in order to make millions.. That's what's impressive.
Except that until they rushed the doors, they had done nothing illegal.
Pretty sure that "Conspiracy to commit a terrorist act" is illegal.
Even if Valve went under, they're not complete jackasses and would likely push a client update that removed the need to validate to their server.
I've tried to purchase a game with a card that got declined, and my account was not banned.
The email address on my steam account is on a domain that hasn't existed for over 6 years, account still works fine.
I do not have a great system, but I am able to play games just fine with Steam running. It does not consume what I would consider excessive resources.
Seems your experience with Steam has been pretty poor.. but I seriously doubt that you're anywhere near the Norm.

I believe this has been moved into the Accessibility features for most modern OS'.
Try dericious shitty meat!
WTF Slashdot, what did you do with my line breaks?!
