I love it when ignorant folks like you chime in with all of your knowledge of the teaching of a fundamentalist Islamic school. I'll bet you dollars to donuts you don't know shit about it and are passing on the same rhetoric that everyone does. Let's face it -- what is the average person's familiarity with a fundamentalist school, or for that matter, what a young Palestinian thinks when he/she gets up in the morning?
Stop spouting hate -- eduction of who? Prejudiced people like yourself.
He was clearly referring to Britain there. There WAS a lot of talk of people being afraid to use mass transit and IIRC, the traffic went way up after the bombing. I dunno how it is NOW, but that's what the GP was referring to.
And how is it a replacement? You need a browser in order to render the pages you find. Even the config page needs a browser. I guess it'd be a good way to eliminate the need, unless of course I wanted to, y'know, browse the web.
I installed it today. The only problem is that it's crashed 3 times already, whereas I had the old one on the machine for ages. Not sure what the problem is, but I only did it this morning, so we'll see what happens.
That is, of course, unless you need to go to a website, I suppose. I also would not be surprised if this software relies on the rendering engine of one of the browsers.
That is, of course, unless you need to go to a website. No mention of any web browsing of normal sites on the internet, but hey... who nees that anyway, right?
My problems with Ubuntu were with Wifi. KWifiManager is unusable for whatever reason, but I am able to use the card after editing the configs by hand. doesn't make much sense to me, since this is a well-supported Lucent card... but... whatever.
IF they wish to redistribute it, it must be distributed open source. What's wrong with that? Modify it and don't distribute it if that's your thing... please.
Say what you will, but there are a huge number of people who use that service (I am one of them). That's like saying "judging by most of the people who live in New York, you wouldn't be leaving much behind" after walking through a street where a bunk of drunks were sleeping.
This is not a troll whatsoever. It was the exact first thought I had in fact. I use LiveJournal. I would not care in the slightest if every other journal on there was spam -- how would that affect me? Granted the technologies are not the same, but I would think it would stand to reaosn that spam blogs are of questionable importance to anyone beyond the hosts of the blogs.
And so balanced that the author has full disclosure of name and who his is and all of that right on his website... oh... wait, no, it's completely anonymous.
Of course I'm not saying that that should be applied to all children (ie. they should all stop whining and so the work). There are geniune issues out there that need to be addressed. However, the kid saying "sorry, I dun' wanna" is an issue that generally is best solved by saying "sorry, then no video games" rather than by giving them video games in school.:)
That may be... however I know of a lot of kids where they say "oh, he just won't do his homework." It's usually the parents who are at fault. One extreme example is from one of those Nanny 911 type shows: the kids won't eat dinner, but they have unfettered access to a snacks closet. Hello?
Maybe it's just that the few of us who had decent parents are looking around at the rest of the world and saying "these kids today." No idea.
I certainly have called my power company to tell them that the power is out. On several occasions, in fact. It goes out much less than it used to in my area (I think something got replaced or redundancy got added 'cuz it was ALWAYS my side of the block), but back when it did, we'd always call after about 15 mins.
You're not getting those diseases from the subway -- I hate to break it to you.

Which they have!

I don't think you can legitimately blame Google for your IQ errors, can you?
Hey, you know what else reverses the effects of sleep deprivation? SLEEP! And that's not all -- it's FREE!
He meant slightly faster than CURRENT subsonic planes, not faster than a supersonic plane.

Google's bar does NOT send the data back to Google for processing. Bullshit is not insightful.
I don't see why this was modded down. It really took away from the summary. Granted, the sentence makes no sense WITHOUT the error.

I assume you were joking, but yes. I did.

Japan now has a fair number of women-only rail cars now. During crowded times, women have their own couple of cars to ride in if they so desire.
Hey, c'mon -- this might be the first blow many potential fans have ever seen. Don't take that away from them. ;)

Guy clearly has an axe to grind.

Getting to be less and less true, though. The tough on crime stance requires kids to be tried as adults.
