Put an orbiter into an orbit that brings it into contact with a more massive dead satellite. Grab it. And use a magnetic servo or some other tool to hurl it downwards at Earth....and you go up. Maybe more efficient than spraying out mass using a booster?
That seems like a pretty big thing they took away. On the other hand, even if they put that in I will never ever ever go to that monstrosity of a UI. Its their code, they can do what they like. But I am almost at the point where I can no longer advocate Linux.
He is just going to keep his head down and try not to screw up until he coasts into his second term. His only challenger is someone who has been hand picked to fail.
So by taking the stuff out of the computer, and putting it into other "stuff", we are going to create an explosion of soul-sucking, space-sucking, power-sucking transformers and cheap little crappy enclosures for externalized ports. That is until some vendor says: "Hey, let me put all those external ports you need into one box for you!" And then the next vendor says: "Hey, let me put those ports in the monitor for you" And then the next vendor says: "Hey, my monitor and computer are the same box, so lets put it all back inside" At that point we will be right back where we started, but will have spent tons of money we didnt need to spend. And what happened to DisplayPort. Thats gotta be the shortest obsolescence cycle on record.
With all of the educational institutions paying over-and-over again for the same books year after year, it seems extremely feasible for them to pay a qualified author to write one "open source" book. Then the schools would just need to pay the cost of printing new copies.
Perhaps that program could be "login" or something similar. Also, that give you the ability to use different command and different behaviors on a key-by-key basis for the account.
And ebook reader is such a low-power device, it should be exempted from the ban. Just make them disable wireless on it if necessary. And I thought the linked article and its rationale were pretty much worthless.
The byproduct of fusion is Helium? Or is it some other atomic number they are shooting for now (boron?) Anyway, if the plan is to make this a drop-in replacement for coal and natural-gas burners, then how will you keep the unit up and running if its filling up with waste prodcuts. Does it have to be taken down intermitantly? Then what is the startup-time / power requirements / redundancy requirements of a fusion reactor that has to be restarted every 10 days.
They cost us more in terms of: Roads and traffic, water and utilities Security (police presence) Urban sprawl issues Pollution
No one should be trying to "level the field" if they do not undertand the field. And they should not be trying to make money off of something they had no hand in producing or enabling.
A computer is the most versatile toy that one could ever imagine. You can make it do practically anything you can imagine. Esp with so much source code available to start from. So why in the hell do people need to mess with "Other Peoples" computers as a hobby. Its IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to have exhausted the opportunities for learning on their own computer. Why oh why is hacking even a hobby? And if you really want to mess with comms, a second computer is dirt cheap. Or you can use a virtual machine. Or talk to your friends computers with their permission. Your computer is a wonderful engine of discovery; what more could you possibly need?
Besides, hauling stuff is what slaves were for. And the reason people learned shipping/sailing first was because that was where the people lived and how they traded. I think the wheel was probably invented to deal with a problem: either piracy on the water forced goods to start moving over land. Or exotic and valuable materials needed to be hauled across areas that did not have a shipping route. The wheel was invented to solve a problem. Not because its cool.
A mis-mash of various distros inhouse will make backups and other admin tasks more complicated. Choose a distro+version and then mandate its use throughout the company. Backups, package management, user management are all different between distos. If you are putting your products on a specific type of linux (embedded), then use a close relative of it. I do not recommend Ubuntu variants for learning. Fedora would be better. Dont forget to learn about GPL if you are embedding!
When you challenge their religion, they feel like you are trying to kill them. Its like their entire neural net is trained and balanced by religion. Take that away, and they feel like they want to die. They get desperately unhappy and violent. Its a design defect in the human brain the unscrupulous people try to take advantage of.
If actual products are being shipped (as opposed to pure fraud), then it should be possible to trace the physical deliveries back to their source. Pharmacy products are not e-product. They are physical. So if these products are being marketed through illegal means, and are probably illegal products themselves, then why not follow them back to their source. At the very least, the govt could make a big noise and say that goods marketed through spam are being seized enroute and people will throw their money away if they purchase them.

Don't they mostly cater to the financial industry? Pretty much a dead zone now isnt it?

Maybe they should have thought of that before targeting women with poison.
Idiots.
Oh wait, that was someone else entirely.
Back in the old days, we just used baseball cards and clothespins to give our bikes sound effects.

They just didn't want anything to do with IPv6. Can you blame them?
And protect that key in a number of ways

I'm sorry, but what important problem are they trying to solve with this "research"?
