That works nearly every single time? Every laptop finger print scanner I've used SUCKED. Accuracy was always terrible AND slow. Granted, I've had limited experience. On a Gateway laptop from 2008 and a Lenovo Thinkpad from 2010.
Touch ID was the first time I've used biometrics and it wasn't a total crapshoot if it'd work.
Two things. First, the PS4 didn't even do video playback on day one. It's a games focused machine. The Wii U is entirely games focused as well. The fact that both can do Netflix isn't so much a statement about consoles becoming entertainment centers, but rather, the dogged determination of Netflix to be EVERYWHERE. The XB1 on the other hand... Well. That's another thing entirely.
(This is also true of the Vita and 3DS. Both of which are strongly focused on games.)
There really is a diminishing return on graphics. At some point, making better graphics just requires more human power.
The problem with the PC is that the control scheme is REALLY limited. Say what you will about two analog sticks and some buttons, but, you get more variety of game play out of that, than you can with KB/M. Moving along 4 dimensions with smooth analog controls is nicer than 2, and using something other than a mouse.
Playing something like Armored Core or Metal Gear just feels nicer on a game pad. Sure, it's less precise, but, more precise isn't exactly more fun. When you're aiming at high speed targets, i'd rather have auto-lock than a mouse.
Samsung doesn't do a pico projector phone anymore.
The problem Samsung has is that they're throwing a lot of shit at the wall hoping something sticks. Like the humidity sensor in the S4. The only thing that has stuck so far has been the Note's SPen. Even then, I don't ever actually see many people use them.
Difference here isn't that a lot of people are decrying the culture of F2P, that's fine. It's the business model a lot of people have problems with.
It's like toyetic cartoons. What's the corruption? That they're basically 20 minute advertisements for toys that has 10 minutes of advertisements for more toys. It's cynical and doesn't actually add anything to anyone's life.
When I was a kid, I figured that one out pretty quick. Some of my peers though...
still doesn't keep me from swearing a lot when trying to plug in an HDMI cable.
Plug makers should have to test how easy it is to plug something in with out being able to see it. Like trying to snake your arm behind a TV or large desk.
I don't think Facebook has a long enough history where we can make these determinations. However, with what they've done(or not done) with WhatsApp and Instagram, I'm willing to bet Facebook isn't interested in meddling with third party development.
Further more, I don't think 3D porn is what's going to sell this thing to the masses. 2D porn didn't set the home video market on fire, but it sure did help.
That dude just looks evil. He looks like an unholy combination between Jeff Bridges' character from the first Iron Man and Kane from Command and Conquer.
Unless the GPIO pins are exposed to mame as some sort of controller, you're going to have to write some kind of driver. As it stands now, I can wire up a couple of boards from MadCatz and have it working in under an hour. Well under an hour if I just use two TE sticks.
I don't think that he is a Nazi, or sympathetic, that's really hard to prove with out direct statements. Given his involvement lately with authority figures,
However, I do think he's pretty fuckin' tone deaf, and an asshole to boot. Arms dealing, legal and legitimate arms dealing, is an incredibly profitable business. Still not something I'd suggest to any of my friends nor do my self out of a sense of ethics.
If he can't figure out the taboo behind why that book is socially unacceptable and why he shouldn't have invested in it in the first place, then he's a fucking asshole. Plain and simple.
The problem with the ribbon is that when people complain about it, they seem to forget that the alternative isn't much better from a UX standpoint and that it launched on an application that the ribbon wasn't going to fix.
Office style apps, particularly word processing is just a messy UI. Unless you want less features. Period.
When dealing with new applications, the Ribbon concept is actually quite nice addition to a UI designer's tool kit. Probably one that should be doing what traditional tool bars have been doing for years. It's cleaner. I'd rather lose some UI space in exchange for some clarity of purpose for UI elements.
What degree of errors though? That Arnold Schwarzenegger is listed as 279 pounds, but listed as 280? Or that he was in the movie Beaches as an uncredited extra?
One's so close to being true that it just doesn't matter, the other is so far from wrong it's in the next county.
I'm on Wikipedia's side here, but I think saying "more factual errors" is kind of a wonky thing to try to quantify.
You do know a vast majority of research is conducted with money from public sources right? And the National Center for Complimentary and alternative medicine has studied, in depth, a lot of "natural" cures and none of the studies have ever come out positive right?
No, he was walking through a side door he found by snooping on the behavior of the building.
If weev hit an API end point that was being advertised on ATT.com, that's front door
If weev had to snoop on the traffic from an iPad that was registering itself with AT&T then that's certainly not front door. Front doors are obvious. This end point wasn't.

finger print scanner that small that works 99% of the time?
Maybe not *new*, but Apple did get there first. The Atrix had just simply awful performance with their scanner.
Ein Windows Ein SDK Ein...
err sorry.
I've been trying to find some sort of write up on what was exploited and how it was found.
Does anyone know where to find any of this documentation?
yet doxxing someone and starting a campaign of threats isn't?

That's a more fair argument to make.

For inputs, skip the GPIO header and just use HID USB. Less hassle, and they perform wonderfully.
Also, JVS to USB options exist too, if you want to use a cabinet made sometime this century.
Amazon is the walmart of the internet. Look at their operation. It's ridiculous.
Further more, the notion that VR is best suited for games so short sighted I don't even know where to begin.
Typically arms dealers aren't selling to the type of people who are sportsmen or gun enthusiasts. They're typically selling to militaries.

For the record, I am coding right now, just like I was last week.I expect the FB deal will avoid several embarrassing scaling crisis for VR.

Here you go.
Supports up to 4K displays, USB OTG, and device charging.
Actually knock off bags and other wearable fashion items have major questions about durability.
Saddleback Bags did a great video about the quality of their bags.

If I'm buying certain brand names, part of that brand name is a trust that it won't fall apart on me in six months.
It's not just image, it's also quality.

I know how the Internet works. Running wire shark on a device and sniffing the http requests isn't the same fucking thing as googling.
I'm so glad none of you are lawyers.
If you have to go out of your way to find it, it's not public. If you break in because of lousy security, it's still not public.
Read the law.

(a)(2) and (e)(2)(B) are relevant here.
Note: protected is not defined as having any security measure in place, it seems to me that protected means protected by the law at hand
