This is the very thing that separates the thinking man from the drug abuser. The collective scientific and engineering minds behind space exploration seem clear on the order of crystal that limiting the payload weight of objects leaving Earth's gravitational field is non-negotiable. Here's the thing that should clear on the order of crystal to those most sentient amongst us: if there is the slightest chance that our wanton use of the earth's resources is not without global consequences and repercussions, we are fools if we don't do everything we reasonably can to mitigate the damage our presence creates. We may or may not be the only self-aware species on the planet, but there's a decent probability we are the most self-aware, and one would imagine that incredible privilege comes with some responsibility.
But for me: some light physical activity during the day(yard work or such), a hot shower and a couple of adult beverages before bedtime, and a clear conscience go a long way. If all that fails, a couple of threads like this on/. will usually put me out like a midnight cigarette.
Far fetched to be sure, but could one possible eventuality be the U.S. Gov't Beginning a War on Hacktivsm? Operation Hackysack could commence and all that's pure in the World would remain safe for another day.
