Actually, Lamborghini started out making tractors. One day Ferruccio Lamborghini complained to Enzo Ferrari that the clutch on his Ferrari was unsatisfactory. Enzo answered "What does a tractor maker know about super cars? Go back to your farm and leave the supercars to me.". The rest is history.

150 Dells? Sound like a homogeneous system.. are they all configured the same? If so, I can't see why a certain percentage should fail, they would either all die or all live. Well, I had no problems installing SP4, so that's 150 Dells + 1 generic system.

To be on topic, the article talked about SP2 RC3, RC means Release Candidate, not Release. So why do people here expect it to work perfectly.

Anyway, being accostumed to Windows, I find the quirks of Linux frustating as well, for example sounds never work 100% for me, without tweaking. Sure, I can read the HOWTOs and tweak it till it's perfect, but sometimes I don't feel like it, especially when there's so many other quirks that need tweaking..

Social connections in CS? Google gave them out to almost everybody. I have a blogger account I only post once or twice into, and even I got an invitation from Google. I'd reckon the majority of bloggers are not CS-types, and I also wonder how one can find himself inside a blog-network.

As for giving Gmail accounts as prizes or giving them to troops (as the first post to this article mentions), gee, what, did all other email systems in the world die and you can't use email anymore? I bet 95% of troops out there already have an email address, what's preventing the other 5% to signup to Yahoo!Mail, (or if that doesn't work, Hotmail, urgh)..

Speaking of Yahoo!, I wonder when they'll get to Iraq and we start to see an url like www.yahoo.iq. I bet www.whitehouse.iq is already reserved. I have dibs on www.high[er].iq and www.low[er].iq, hahaha I'll sell them and be rich!! :p

Despite the fact that they do speak English, the Germans still dub non-German movies to German. It's one -- albeit small -- reason why I don't go the movies that often. The other reason being, hey downloading it costs nothing. So yeah, the German government with this dumb law is partly guilty why there are so many illegal downloads of movies.

And the Germans are pretty bad at keeping their language intact. In TV, magazines and the economy you hear a lot of dumb English phrases. Here's one I just made up "Bei diesen Problem weiss ich den Solution noch nicht. Ich muss es noch checken.". Look at the website of Deutsche Telekom; "WebEasy", "enjoyTarif"... oh well, I could rant all day.

CSU did win the EU-elections in Bavaria (Stimmenanteile = votes share), but I wouldn't be surprised at that (I'll explain later). Their friend CDU won 40 out of the 99 seats for Germany in the EU parliament. CDU and CSU are in coalition, as well as SPD and the Greens (Grünen), SPD and the Greens managed to win the national German elections 2 years ago, but this loss in the EU-elections show the public's opinion of the way they are running the country so far.

The CSU has always been winning in Bavaria, it's a local party to the state. Some also joke it's the national party because "Bavaria is not Germany". This view is also the reason it doesn't get good results everywhere else, who'd want to have a "foreigner" as their chancellor? ;-)
