The trouble is, a screenshot is just bitmap data. It can easily be faked. Well, maybe that's what Palladium is good for, take real screenshots that you won't be able to edit with MS Paint.:p
They weren't going to surrender? My (Australian)history teacher told me that the days before the US bombed Japan, Japan tried to send a message - through Russia - to the US that they were surrendering. The message didn't make it in time (or maybe it did?), and we know what happened next.
IMI it's worth repeating, because it seems we read about it, post comments about how companies are evil, how we shouldn't be doing something like that, how we should do something to stop it and... oh the new LOTR trailer is there!!!
I wonder if Proxomitron can fix it. Yahoo! Mail doesn't work properly on Opera, it recognizes Opera as an "other" browser and displays the screen with ugly 14 and 19 pt fonts, instead of 10 and 12 pt like in IE and Mozilla. So I wrote a Proxomitron script to change the JS variable "isMozilla" to "true", and this worked: the Javascript got fooled into giving Opera the nicer Style Sheet. I wonder if the sort of thing can be applied to this stupid trick. If the script asks "Did that window load?", then we can easily say "Sure it loaded"... well if I have more time I'll work out a hack.
Well who's talking XML? This is HTML, and HTML is a derivative of SGML, and SGML is not case-sensitive. I win, Nyeah nyeah nyeah nyeah nyeah..:P
True though, XML and XHTML requires lowercase tags, I guess I'll have to change the way I write some of my HTML sites, I feel using all uppercase tags makes it easier to differentiate between content and tags, at least all lowercase is better than what I remember as Frontpage's way of doing it.. <Img Src="blah.gif" OnMouseOver=...> anyone?
Probably because a lot of us are sysadmins with companies stuck with Windows, and with this sort of news, we can take steps to protect our computer systems from MS-induced death, including convincing the PHBs to switch to Linux.;-)
Also, Windows is more popular, so this sort of thing affects more people, especially clueless ones, the ones we need to educate to switch to Opera (ohokay, Mozilla then)
Actually, that's "rupiahs" (not important anyway), yeah Rp. 100,000 is about US $11, and that's official airport tax.. somehow I can't blame them for charging that, they need that money to survive.
Like the saying goes, "History Is Written by the Victors". I once read that, if instead of Christianity, Islam held power in this world, there would also be a secret movement trying to destabilize this hold of power.
If one day America stops being the most powerful country in the world, -- where it can't threaten hostility against another country without fear of being reprimanded by a bigger country that thinks otherwise -- I'm sure the version of history from the new number one country would be the one accepted as the history of the world. But Dubya would bomb the hell out of any country trying to take over his place at the throne of the world before anything like that can happen.
Well, I watch the extremely idiotic German commentary of it (on RTL, which is the website to which the article links), and they say they fight for the record against Asia. The builders didn't just come from Holland, there are many other Europeans there (but they also showed someone with an Aussie flag painted on his cheek, hmm?). They did show how the "Asians" won the record previously, but only by flashing the number of dominoes they got and split seconds of the domino fields that they have built (including a Chinese flag, so I doubt it's just the Japanese that's doing it). I find that pretty ignorant, not acknowledging what your enemy has accomplished. And on the European's last domino field was pictures of people from all over the world. There was a picture of an woman in native Japanese clothing and the idiotic commentators interpreted is a "challenge" to the Asians. Overall, idiotic and cheap.
And in tomorrow's news, the new Bugzilla that people hoped would allow them to track bugs in the Linux kernel disappears off the net after being slashdotted to death.;)
Well, all kidding aside, let's hope it will be a great tool to help in development of Linux.
It's not for IE only, like the others, it acts a proxy server, if you set the proxy server settings in your browser correctly, you can use it using any browser. I used to use Webwasher, but I find Proxomitron superior to it.

Seeing as Film Gimp would produce output for optical devices, I can't see why they would worry about CMYK, which is more for paper media..
That's kinda dumb, as far as I know the receiver doesn't send feedback to the mouse concerning the strength of the signal it's getting, and regardless of distance to the receiver, the mouse transmits using the same signal strength, using the same amount of electricity.
I do have cordless mouse and keyboard, and I like it. I use rechargable batteries so that's less waste. I like it, I can move the mouse towards me without having the cable snag somewhere and stop me, and I can move the mouse away from me without running over the cable.

Yes I did bitch, and between me clicking it and you clicking it, they "updated" it.
Too bad we're not allowed to "update" our comments.
That thing requires you to be a subscriber, or does Taco have a subscription that he didn't notice it? He probably didn't even click the link.

The Equipment Catalog on the right side of that page details what they really have.. mmm yummy hardware.

No dumb panel should be allowed to replace Dr. No! Bill Gates isn't sharing that title with anyone!
D'oh!
Dunno, James Bond has been getting a lot of advertisement here in Germany (well, I guess not just in Germany, even in Slashdot!>/A>), here the "evening news" even showed how the Queen came to the world premiere in England, wonder if she enjoyed it. Of course that evening news was on a cable station, I wonder if MGM (Bond) and Kirchmedia (the owner of this station) has some arrangement going on.
Searched the web for my car keys.

Which one is it?

OMG Tim Tams! I don't think they exist in Europe (well maybe in England), now that you mentioned it, I miss them from my time in Australia!

Ah, the beauty of having designer monkeys trying to make sure everything is placed to the exact pixel, on every browser... sounds familiar.
Maybe I should just browse on 256 colors and make them scream when their gradient background fail..
It sure looks like the corporate plan of Dotcoms gone by..

Well, you see, that's why Bush wants Iraq... so he can let his buddies Cheney and Ken Lay go over there and drain the oil out of the place..
