The quote on the bottom of the poster says "You shall not pass!". That's strange, aren't they supposed to take quotes that are inspiring? I saw a Star Trek Poster once, which had "Boldly Go" as the quote.
It would be quite a downer for a student to have such a poster, studying for an exam in his room, and then looking up at the poster only to see "You shall not pass!".
Do you work for them? That program looks like a rip-off of Ghostview and Ghostscript, (well they acknowledge that they based the program on those 2 files), I wonder why it's not GPLed, they certainly are just repackaging the programs.
Hear hear! One early morning I happened to see the station flying across the sky and it was amazing to realize that that little moving "star" was something that mankind managed to brought up there, high in space. For those who can't appreciate it, find out when the ISS is going to fly by and experience it for yourself.
What version of Windows is she running? The Linux-advocates in the crowd isn't going to like this, but maybe you should install Win2K on her computer (considering it has enough juice to run it), it's really a stable and nice OS.
Otherwise, maybe a re-install? Yeah, that's Windows, it gets flaky with all the spyware out there. Also, don't count out hardware problems.
Damn, I sound like f'ing MS-Support, recommending reinstallations.. real OSes don't need no reinstall.
Wonder what would happen if they had a sniper weapon in it (like in CS).. I bet that'd will do for an instant-ban across the "God bless"-ed USA -- granted it would be tasteless for the game company to belittle the victims' deaths.
But can you really finish it without violence? Some missions in GTA3 just say "Finish (some person)!"
I'd wager it's easier to interact with the passenger because of body language, qe can communicate what we're trying to say more easily. Also the passenger would notice if the driver needed to concentrate a bit more on driving instead of talking/listening, and said passenger can then stop talking for a bit.
Also, maybe because in-car conversations are basically small talk, while when you call someone it's usually something more important (when we don't put teenage girls into the equation)
There was a/. discussion awhile ago of how movies nowadays are filled with crying babies, cell-phones going off and people being real-time critics..
Thankfully (surprisingly?), I haven't experienced such things in my local theare (in Germany), but Germans have more sense I guess, I haven't seen SUV-driving soccer moms either..
Heh, a troll. I bet he's gonna get modded to interesting as well.. Fui Insitute? A Japanese named Nagoobalhu? There's no L in (native) Japanese, idiot.

A simple change would be to change the ".su" part of the email to ".(whatever country your father currently resides in now)", assuming his e-mail buddies know in which country he actually lives. But no one has money to do that I guess.
So he got the email address two years after the USSR fell? Makes sense, I doubt the Communist Party would have wanted its citizens to be able to talk using an uncensored western communication medium. I wonder what was the rationale behind creating a.su domain at all?

New, this just in! Today the Patent Office received a donation of $100 million from a grass roots group called "Misson to Save Falling Tech-company", an independent grass-roots not-funded-by-any-corporation-seriously-believe-us group.
In other news, Lucky Green's patent application has been denied.
What an insightful comment! I'm sure a lot more people would be interested if their ads said "Turn on your heater 10 minutes before you get home, and come home to a nice warm house.", "Let X10 simulate an occupied house while you're gone. And have a webcam as well to monitor in case someone does break in!" and all those clichés associated with home automation... someone want to email them?
The mental image of man staying in the middle of a theme park with a picture of the surroundings on his shirt brings "What about invisibility!" to my head. Well not really, but a chameleon-esque clothing that makes you blend with the background would be cool. Then we can just blend into the lockers in the girls' locker room..
Right on! "Cam" movies are so shitty they're not worth the time it took to download. I'm not sure if most movies are pirated in Hong Kong though, they usually have Chinese and Malay subtitles on-screen, the piracy was proobably done in Malaysia (which has a substantial amount of Chinese people), or any Malaysians know in what languages the subtitles are over there? It's interesting to see that in SE Asia most films come on VCD at the same time as they show up in theaters, but the quality of those VCDs are so bad it makes me wonder if people wouldn't rather go to the movies anyway, both options cost about the same anyway (if you're going alone to the movies, that is).
It's also interesting to note how the MPAA is so mad about "digital quality" copies being made by handheld camcorders. They're simply spreading FUD in saying that camcorders hurt movie sales, true movie lovers wouldn't watch cam'ed shit..
On the other hand, sure this company has developed this new tech, are they going to deploy it in SE Asia though, considering most of the pirated movies come from there?
Well, Bundespolizei means Federal Police, so it wouldn't make sense to put a state together with it.
That's not so bad, at least you are doing some exercise.

Someone call the GNU Lawyer.
Heh everybody's a terrorist if Bush can have his way. Everybody except his family (including Jeb and Jenna), Ken Lay, and the likes..

They made Profit first, 100,000 of it, then they made Blender GPL... actually the original owners had it good..
1. Make Blender non-GPL.
2. Promise to GPL it for 100,000.
3. Get 100,000 == Profit!

What do we get when put this and that earlier Tivo article together?
I think they know if people can't send movies they've recorded to their friends, MS's DVR would be less attractive..
