How about Linux speck of dirt?
The honeymoon is over, Linux lusers. Why not come join the winning team? Windows XP for home, WXP Professional for the office, CE for embedded systems.
Ahh, Slashdot. It's nice to know that there's a place where there are people who are much less competent with the English language than myself. Which is quite an accomplishement, I must say.
Why, were they slaves of Hero? I didn't know that astronauts were considered private property. And who is Hero anyways? Go figure, you learn something new every day.
It's not pink; did you read the caption? '3 exposures in the visual spectrum' that means they took some, ahem, 'artistic license' with reality. They probably chose the 3 frequencies that looked best when mapped to one of red, green, and blue. It's a fraud.
Not where I went to school. If you are the type of person who needed the chance to apply original thinking at all, even once, a single time would have done, you'd be dead in the water.
And I don't mean the sort of "original thinking" involved in learning how to understand angular momentum or Herod's motivations in life.
Engineering Physics is very different from Physics... EP has a reputation of being the baddest of the badass degrees. Hardcore. How you can compare that to P without E, I do not know. But then, you were actually in that major, so neh.
Yes, no-brainer indeed. It's not like no matter what design decisions Intel takes, AMD cultists would have a response explaining how the AMD way is better. No, that would never happen.
Is the company in question looking for people familiar with using Java for real-time(ish) AWT programming? It's a fairly narrow domain, and I don't have any professional experience (best I've managed so far is Teaching Assistant), but I thought I'd throw out a hook and hope for a bite. If you are, send off an email to core10k@hotmail.com .
Seriously though, I'm amazed anyone gives war movies the time of day anymore, they're such trashy propaganda. (Except Hamburger Hill. What a movie ^.^)
Why does Ridley Scott get the time of day? Gladiator was a terrible, plodding movie but it was lavished with praise. Black Hawk Down is pure propaganda. Etc etc etc. I don't get it.
You dumbasss... don't you get it?.NET has bounded arrays. Buffer overruns are the source of 99% (or higher) of technical security problems. Bounded arrays means no buffer overruns. Microsoft gets high security for free. As long as they write their secure software using.NET, it WILL be "one of the most sercure set of products ever."
Look at Java for a precedent - Java is hugely popular in areas where security is important (Web servers, thin clients, etc). When's the last time you heard of a Java product having a major security problem?
I think it's a shame to see Loki go; they were one of the few companies that were really in a position to show Linux's worth as a medium for releasing commercial software.
The only question now is what company can fill the void that they will leave behind? And I assure you, the exit of Loki from the market means that other companies will be skeptical about the viability of releasing their software for Linux. It's a shame.
Here's a thought, brainiac. Get your 'Custodial Computer Engineers' (aka Sysadmins) to install Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Voila, all your stupid little problems are solved!
Probably. Anderson is known as the company killer, and I don't just mean Enron ^.^ I suspect that the real "service" that Arthur Anderson provides is destroying companies - god knows there must be a thousand different ways to profit when you KNOW your company is going to crash and burn.
Or you can be like me, student loans office laughed me away. You want money? Hahaha, we aren't giving you a cent, your parents make way too much money.
Ask your parents for money. You want money? Hahahah no way, we're upper class so you should go to the student loans office, they know our income, they'll know you're good for it. You want money from us personally? Go fuck yourself, son.
That AC ain't kidding; I for one thought that the symbolic castration of a blatant symbol of American imperialism to be a magnificent piece of performance art.
Here's a little hint, dumb dumb, if you install Windows, you won't have to ask stupid questions like "Anybody know of any hacks that has been done on the BERNINA machines?"

Where does it say deffently? I don't see that anywhere, not even in spelling-corrected form.
NO. You're the same sort of jackass that jumped up and down saying "look! September 11th! Nine! Eleven! NINE ONE ONE!!!," aren't you?

Would making items 'decay' with time solve this problem, in your opinion? Just curious...

I like. A lot more imaginative than a lot of other nonsense that gets shoe-horned into programs as 'plug-ins'.

Oh, what a wonderful world.
+5 insightful ^.^
I'd moderate you up, but well... I dun think CmdrTaco would be too happy if I had mod points.
That word... I do not think it means what you think it means.
I swear, there should be a law that people under 18 can't post on newsgroups or chat boards.
wtf? are you on crack? I know I've just been trolled, but still. wtf?
No, Persian chicks are hot.
But then again, Persian chicks aren't arabs. Maybe that's what you meant? Cuz Arabic chicks are kinda skanky.
