As soon as I saw the USB memory "key" devices on the market I was thinking about modfying PGP to accept a very large key. I would store the public key on the server and the private key in the little device.
hmm I think it's too small to be a planet. Has the solar orbit been monitored? Could this just be an object that got caught up into an orbit around the sun?
Let's educate the public and let them now why we use mod chips! It's not to steal. It's so we can develop and use our own games, instead of paying thousands of dollars for an official development kit, mod chips allow us to use Linux to develop games.
The macOSX gui isn't X11 compliant. The very first thing I tried to do was remotely display an app. You can load up X11 for MacosX, but you can't remotely display those cool looking OS/X apps. So, what do I do, I get ideas to make our Linux Apps cooler. Apple take NOTE: I'm not using your schemes, or whatever. I'm just getting ideas on how to make my apps look cooler. So OS/X didn't last on the G3, Linux is going back online as soon as I get the latest release from Yellow Dog.

Right now I have a fast fire fighting robot.
I've played with the idea of building a fighting robot. It would have a Tesla coil and a hv lead all the way up it's gripper arm. Liquid Nitrogen will be sprayed on it's victims and then slammed with a hammer. Electronics jammed with a Tesla coil. I'd use a faraday cage around my electronics to protect me from the Telsa coil.
I'd use a modified sumo wrestling algorithm.
Modified as in it won't just be a shoving contest, I'd use on board weapons as well.
Haven't we learned from Loki Games? If all of you decide to work 12 -15 hour days to catch the project up, once it's on track, more of you would be let go, with nothing to show for it. I don't know, I would never work like that again. Life is too short. Don't rely on promises from this company. I don't know about you but I like my time off. Sure I have some projects here.. like the robots I build. But I also like to hang around with my wife and kids, go driving my Truck, fly model rockets with the kids, and working on the house.
Well every Friday have a lunch meeting. Make sure no one is spinning there wheels and that they have the resources they need. Set daily/weekly goals for them. If they don't turn out code in a couple of weeks, let them go because they don't know what they are doing.
I have opposed UCITA since it was hijacked by the BSA in 1995. I remain
on the standby drafting committee to try to moderate its effects. The
Massachusetts delegatiion, supported by the Governor's Office, the
Attorney General and many legislators, oppose UCITA and are unlikely to
adopt it. I do agree with the view that it establishes a certain business
model (1992 shrink wrap) that is inappropriate at this time of change in
business models, both to new ones and back to old ones, and that it is
important to oppose UCITA at the national level.
Forgent has no clue. They didn't invent jpeg. I think this should be settled in court. JPEG.ORG should win as a prior art and the Royalty that was filed should be discarded.
I think this is a joke. Microsoft should fix their own security holes, and if they can't they are liable. Or... the public should switch to a real Operating System like BSD, Linux, or OS/X.
Clients are installed on the Hosts Enterprise Wide. These can be a mixed platform. AIX, HPUX, Linux, Windows NT (Cough), Mainframe S/390 (VM) and so on. The Host running ADSM server has a ton of disk space... a snapshot is taken across the network to the ADSM server DISK from the Client filesystems to be backed up. The snapshot gets backed up to tape while the snapshot is taken of the next host.. and so on..
This works great across a fast network.
But.......
I use Amanda to backup my Linux Servers at home. It works in almost the same manner.
First of all, most critical systems are either on the inside of a firewall, or not connected to a public network. Second of all, if you have a system that needs to be secure, don't run a microsoft OS!
This is a joke! The hardware does not belong to Microsoft. When you buy the hardware you should be able to do what you want with it. You are not bootlegging software, you are opening the box so that you can run open source code. there is no way Microsoft should be able to stop users from doing what they want with the hardware.
So.. why not boycott the piece of junk and build a true opensource product?
I'd rather run Linux than Windows!

I bought my cable modem 2 years ago to get a cheaper rate. remember the boradband ads? download streaming video! etc... Well If they charge by the bit we sue them.. and no damn dumb ass lawyer who gets a large cut of a class action suit. we find someone who gets a fair cut... and nail these bastards.
I'm putting together an alternate solution. I might go frame relay, or T1. First I need to sell bandwidth to my neighbors and see if I can get the line to pay for itself.
Argh!
If they put rate caps or charge by the bit this will kill broadband.
I'm a Unix/TCP/IP network admin by trade. If the cable company does this I will get a fractional T1 feed and sell off access to my neighbors via 802.11b. I believe I have enough people interested to pay for the line.

We need to hit HP/Compaq in the pocketbook! It these stripped boxes are not purchased then supply and demand would remedy this problem.
