Mosquitos can transmit virus, and if it picked up the AID virus and bites someone else in a matter of minutes then yes it can be. TB and other blood born viruses too. It's not public knoledge because it will cause a scare. It's a real problem in dense populations. Google it. look for yourself.
Imagine something going horribly wrong here... Instead of of wiping Malaria, a new gentically engineered super virus is spread.
Hmmmmmmm...
I kind of think if you live in a densly populated area, and right next door someone has TB or worse, and a mosquito bites the infected person and in a matter of a minute you get bit by the same insect, I believe you can get infected.
Viruses are not living things. It's genetic code with a protein coating. You can oblitorate it by destroying it, microwave it, burn it, so my question is... how long can a virus stay intact when it's been ingested by a parasitic insect? And... under the right condition can that virus be transmitted? I really think so.
If you want a killer linux box build it yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've got a Shuttle PC with AMD dual core! It's fast! I use vmware to test new releases. I also have a Power Mac with the dual 970 (the G5) that runs Linux and OS/X well. I beat up on nvidia every day because they are holding up NVIDIA support on Linux/MAC There's a reverse engineering project currently going on so hopefully soon!
Here's my theory on teleivision. The US governemnt depends on it to be used as a pacifier. Imagine what we as people can do if we didn't sit on the couch and watch tv all evening! So, the government doesn't want us to go without television, and the sponsors want you to watch thier advertisments, so they cam up with this.
I watch less television now than ever before. Sure I watch House, Lost, and 24, but even those show are starting to bore me. I'd rather be researching a project, working on the house,or doing something else. 24 has gotten too predictable. Me and my Wife and sons goof on whats gonna happen next. Admit it, you knew Logan was gonna get stabbed by his ex wife, and damn it's too easy to guess who's leaking the satellite data from CTU, it's the Middle Eastern chick, that who. There.. watch next monday I am correct. If I am I am not gonna watch it anymore.
So, challenge yourself to not watch tv this week! Life is too short!
Didn't the Klingons have a disruptor weapon based on this technology? No such seting as stun... it just destroyed cellular structure with antimatter radiation.
When I was a kid in Jr. High School..... 1978, NASA claimed they'd launch a Mars mission by 2013. Instead they built a shuttle and sunk all sorts of money into OLD technology. Let face it, they didn't innovate. I would have loved to see a spacecraft that took off like a jet. So imagine, instead of a rocket liftoff you take off like a jet, accelerate into space. Instead it's a gliding brick that' soon to be retired. Now a manned Moon mission is deemed a worthy trip again? If we were to tunnel into the moon and build a moonbase where we could launch a spacecraft that was powered by a nuclear reaction.. man that would be cool. I doubt I'd see a manned Mars mission in my lifetime.
I have my own theory. The earth has a molten iron core that rotates at a faster speed than the earth right? I bet it's from that, not the friggen ocean. maybe the oscillations from the molten core resonate through the ocean, but I'm willing to bet it's from the earth's molten core.
hmmm. $3,600. Damn. The very first thing I did was put toghether a suite of open source wifi hacking tools. All they did was put together an easy to use gui so anyone without any computer knolwledge at all can use it. hmm.. that's against the hackers code!
hey I remember a series when I was a kid in the 70's. It was a bout a space junkman. And the spaceship basically looked like a front loading junk catcher. Hmm... sounds like we need one now.
hmm the concrete blocks will block an eruption for a little while, more pressure is gonna build up and "The Volcano is gonna blow!" Big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I gotta compile this for my 970MP with 8GB of RAM. I just wish Nvidia would get thier head ouf thier ass and open source the driver since I need to compile it for my powermac G5. other than that Linux is much faster than os/x. And with the new X server enhancements, damn I won't miss OS/X much. gotta love the new 3D desktop. It's awesome on my AMD Linux box. I gotta get it on my G5, then I can sell my AMD box and put more memory in my G5. Or save up for a quad AMD box.
Hmm. I rolled out Linux Corporate wide. The only problem I had was convincing the administration that a service contract is NOT Neccesary and that I'm better off with the Whitebox Kickstart server I built rather than DAMN REDHAT! I built Linux database/application clusters, a sendmail server that outperformed Exchange. I substituted LDAP for the addressbook and wrote my own damn fuzzy search so if some idiot can't spell a name correctly hell I can still list a user that has a name that sounds like what was typed. The problem with coporate deployments is because too many managing bean counters listen to FUD. All I say is wait until Vist get's crammed down everyone's throughs. I even refuse to upgrade my Mac G5 with dual a 970MP to OS/X 10.5 leapard. I'm gonna leave it at 10.4.6. Why cause DRM shit is gonna lock up leapord up eventually. I've got code I wrote for my Linux and G5 so I can mange my mpeg files on my IPOD. I can copy them off the ipod with no problem. That's gonna get locked on leapard. I've got my Linux and OS/x hosts doing what I want. Now getting back to coporate. I've built clusters with Linux connected to EMC storage Arrays that can keep up with IBM P5 systems. How do I know, my company that I worked for had an IBM Mainframe, An AS400, An 8 processor P5, and an Linux cluster that consisted of 6 Dell 6650's dor database, 12 2550's for application servers, 6 Concurrent managers, 2 configured in a cluster as a mail hub running GFS, 2 servers in a load balancer to offer IMAP, and POP connections. The system screamed.
So, if any of you need consulting on the side, hell that's how you earn the big $$$ with Linux, drop me an email, maybe I can design a KILLER system on the side. I'm happy where I am now so I'm not moving. I get to play with P5 hardware, turning the company on to Linux Cluster, educating to what DRM is actually all about.
So heck... Now you know why I call this guy a Mother Fudder, he don't know jack shit and it sounds like FUD to me.
1.) Talk to the person that hired you, and the person that you are going to report to. 2.) Don't send out your resignation letter. 3.) tell personell you can't afford to relocate without the relocation package deal that you agreed upon 4.) All else fails, keep your old job, file a small claims suit for the max that you can get, that way a sleezeball laywer doesn't get any money.
What's this guy smoking? hasen't he heard of the "String Theory"? Maybe the aliens all ready found a way to fold space/time and jump through a singularity. LMFAO!
hmm... When the PowerMacs first came out, they only worked with specific memory from a specific manufacturer. I had the original Dual processor 2.0Ghz G5. well, when I discovered a memory timing issue I was able to return the box for full credit and got a Dual Core G5 with PCI/Express slots. I used standard Corsair PC-4200 memory when I upgraded to 4GB or RAM and have had no problems. I looked at the design of the new Intel MacPRo.. I decided that I would rather stay with my trusty G5 dual core. It runs Linux and OS/X well, I haven't had any lockups at all. I just wish the NVIDIA drivers were open source so I can get 3D with Linux. For now I need two boxes, my AMD barton based PC Shuttle, and my Dual Core G5, both connected to my belken USB/audio KVM.
My son managed to get OS/X running on his AMD Dual Processor Clone! My G5's Disk I/O is faster, We are still comparing CPU/Memory video speed. Some benchmarks his box is faster, but not all.. even though his cpu clock speed is faster my box beats many of his benchmarks. I've always been a fan of the PowerPC CPU. And at work, I use it's big brother, the P5.. it's a kick ass processor.
I would like to see Apple use the P6 processor for new designs. That would be awesome!
hmm... If you believe in outsourcing then you are no better than a drug dealer. Your willing to sell out your country's future just to make a buck.
I was an Systems Engineer at Welch Foods. The CIO that was in place retired, a bean couting soon of a bitch was promoted to be the new CIO. Under his direction the company decided to outsource IT. I was asked to teach the "offshore" team about my code and Linux / Oracle Cluster layout. I put it off for 6 months and ecouraged my colleges to get thier resumes out. They did, and so did I. I did not teach the remote team. I left for my new position somewhere else, and gave myself a little vacation in between. I touched base with some of the non techies that were my friends, they said it's not the same without me and my friends. It not takes weeks, not hours to get get some custom coding done. It takes a several weeks to get Oracle patches in, the remote team has a high employee rollover rate. Welchs deals with new people every 4 months. hey... no love lost here. If they were willing to sell me and my friends out, then too bad.
Don't Indians believe in Karma? Didn't it originate there? hmm.. pretty soon it's payback time!
I was one of the first kids to own an atari 2600. I was a paper boy back then I bought it with my own money earned. That unit had an analog joystick. This damn joystick patent should be trashed. Who was the IDIOT that approved this patent?
The patent was filed in 1998. The joystick has been around much longer than that. The clerk in the patent office that took the application should be fired, and the filee should be banned from trolling for existing inventions and filing a patent on them
Remember when the Russian oil barron was challenging Putin? I believe the dude got his Billions he earned taken away, lost the oil company he built, and was sent to prison. Shit.. the chess player dude just might be another victim of radioactive poisoning. I'm no scholar in russian politics, but I can read people pretty well. I believe when Putin got "elected" it was the beginning of brining back the old ways, after all, Putin "was" a former KGB agent. Can you blame the people? Yeltsin was the equivalent of George W. Bush to us. well.. maybe even worse. The last great leader Russia had was Gorbechev. I don't trust Putin, lets see who wins Russia's next election. I Russia is starting to drift to the dark side then it would be Putin or someone put into place by Putin.
I can make plasma with a carboned up candle and a microwave oven. I wonder if I can sell it to george W. bush as a nuclear fusion device.. HahahahahahhHa
And.. my AOL CD incinerator.... I can tell George W... no it's a time machine.
He just made an expensive plasma generator. I can do the same thing for much cheaper with an old microwave.
