    Bullshit. Pure bullshit.
    An exploit is not a virus. There are Trojans that can affect a Mac IF the user deliberately installs them, by being a fool who is suckered by obvious social engineering. But there are ZERO self-installing, self-replicating viruses that can infect Mac OS X.
    And your mention of pwntoown is proof that you don't know what you are talking about.

    Not just Miami, you know. Try all of the largest cities in the entire world. New York, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Mumbai, Cairo, London, etc., etc. Where will they all go?
    Denver and Mexico City are gonna get very crowded.
    Here's a thought: What will they all eat? We are headed for a climate different from any that has existed since the evolution of humans. Many former grain producing areas will become deserts. And you can't grow wheat in a muskeg swamp.

    Recording of signal quality, etc., is done by Apple on an opt-in basis. It is off by default.
    Apple's refusal to allow carriers to add whatever "enhancements" they wanted is the main reason it took so long for carriers other than AT&T to get the iPhone.

    I tend to limit my reading to rational theories that are actually supported by evidence.
    One failure of your account that I didn't previously point out is your assertion that groups of people were "trapped" and isolated by glaciers during ice ages. The evidence indicates exactly the opposite.
    Because so much water was sequestered in glaciers, sea levels were much lower during ice ages. This allowed people to walk on dry land from Siberia to Alaska, from France to Britain and Ireland, and from southeast Asia to Australia. And the archeological evidence proves that they did exactly that.

    Glaciation is FAR from global in scope during all the ice ages since the extinction of the dinosaurs. Extensive areas of land remain unaffected. The were no "mystery civilizations" whose existence was erased by glaciation.
    And your whole theory of racial distinctions arising and then disappearing is totally unsupported by DNA analysis.

    BTW, ir is an extremely bad idea to put a high school chemistry lab under the "control" of a guy who is in his first real-life teaching job after graduating from college. We had no fear of him and zero respect for his authority, and in retrospect I am amazed that we didn't destroy the school, or at least cause a few dozen deaths.

    You seem a bit delusional. The *facts* show that Android user do NOT spend money on apps, accessories, and so forth, to anywhere near the level of iOS users. Some may spend more on their devices, but some also take advantage of "free with contract:" or BOGO deals. Apple is the overwhelming leader in profits from the mobile sector.
    And Facetime is "just" Skype with no fees or bugs or outages. And Siri has already evoked amazement in several Android users who have seen me using it.
    Oh, and why do my factual comments cause you to label me a troll? Can't handle the truth, hmmm?

    We are rapidly approaching the point where we will be unable to prevent global temperatures from rising higher than they have ever been during the existence of humans. Do you really think it likely that we will do *better* in an environment that we did not evolve to live in?

    And just why should it be the media's job to make "fast, accurate assessments"? Even the first responders are hard put to do so.
    In any emergency situation, there is bound to be confusion. And reporters do try to point this out to readers/viewers. Ever notice phrases like "first reports indicate... "?
    By all means criticize journalism that is sloppy, slanted, etc. But being picky over the death count at a fresh disaster is not a valid criticism.

    Wrong. Increased solar output has been eliminated as a possible cause. Do the reading at the sources, instead of from "commentators" who distort or completely misrepresent it.
    Right now, the *only* "controversy" in the field of climate science is whether things will get very, very bad, or catastrophic. And how soon.

    Climate science is not advanced calculus. The theoretical basis for predictions of human-caused climate change is comprehensible to a smart 5th Grader. Go to RealClimate.org and do some reading. You will find out exactly what the truth is. In detail.
