Judging by their news page they are no longer clamouring for donations, instead they want donations to go to the FSF? I wonder if their IRC channel still has the same message on it;)
Even if the whole MP3 is encrypted the key must readily be available (as you say). It could be something big like one of the actual tracks or a file, but at the end of the day the CD itself will contain everything needed to decrypt itself, a cracker somewhere will write software to do just that either finding what the key is, or make a hacked Player with a hook in it to save the mp3 out unencrytped.
The result? Casual users may struggle to copy the CD but they wont need to when they can just download it from gnutella/edonkey/kazaa!

Well, when palestinians choose to attack israel the israeli army blows shit up and executes people in retaliation. Imagine if the rest of the world responding like that for this attack.:(

Is one of the reasons for high tech mistakes this:
"For every 50 cents which our government spends on the military, it spends only 6 cents on education".
I think that I speak for many when I voice my concerns over China in space. This is the same country that constantly threatens to invade Taiwan and is very militaristic in general.
Hm, is America jealous that someone may become more violent and invade more countries than they do.
An hour long episode of something on (e.g) sky 1 only lasts for about 42 minutes.
Just FYI.
Back ontopic on the subject of logos, I hate the bastards, or more accurately I hate any animated logo because they are distracting. Judging by the screenshots on the site linked to in the story I'm also glad I dont have widescreen because then the logos are in the middle (horizontally) of the screen which must be more annoying.
I've literally covered up the corner of the screen in the past because of retared animated logos.
Spite yourself if you want, buy a slower Intel chip and play the same game that you are complaining about. Intel are making faster (Mhz) chips rather than faster (actual processing) chips.
The simple fact is that the 1800+ is FASTER than a p4 at 1800mhz would be, rather than being a gimmick they are erring on the side of caution.
You are right, most customers would mistake it for a mhz rating, just as if they called it an athlon 1533 no retarded customer would buy it because it has less "Mhz". It works both ways and AMD have to deal with the customers.
Its well known that a minority of people commit the majority of crimes. The people that burgled one house dont stop, they burgle every other poor soul too.
Do you really think that the police dont know who they are? That people commit hundreds of burglaries a year but still cannot be identified?
Imagine if the cops do catch them, crime drops dramatically, and a year down the line some suit in an office wonders why there are so many policemen when crime is so low and cuts their workforce. Potentially policemen dont want to catch the criminals because they are taking themselves out of a job, just as many corporate departments force themselves to spend their yearly budget - they know if they dont it will be cut.
If people dont hear anything they they tend to assume nothing is going on, I used to checkout the various development releases of E, but after 0.16.5 and the "mythical" E17 I stopped. If there was the odd DR release for people to check out then people could see the project is still very alive.
Welcome to the modern equivalent of these kind of misleading adverts.
I agree, smoothwall seems great and i'm thinking of using it or probably ipcop in the near future.
I wouldnt be suprised if Jürgen did have a little bit of ill feeling since Morrell seems to try his best to bring it out in people, as he did here:"i'm still on IRC at 2am kicking and banning people".

Perhaps trying to recoup some PR...
Its got a geforce 4 in it!
:(
Cant stop progress eh
There is one if you dig around the development section of the mozilla site. I don't use mozilla really at the moment but it might be useful to you.
10 billion doesnt seem so much when you think of $379bn on "defence".
You are probably looking at quite a bit later in time for the things you mention. Check out this timeline

Are those sharks flopping around on the snow?!?
To be honest the screens dont look to different to what I have played.

This is the mirror of the actual screenshots page
Thanks for the point to the uk mirror.
Regarding the hard drive, does this mean the console has to be shut down rather than just switched off.
Does anyone know, i'm curious.

And at the end she says something like "if you really loved me you would want the original, not a copy".
Sounds like an ad campaign in the making.
That looks great.
:(
I would buy one now but they dont seem to ship to the uk

It DOESNT cost £19.99 a month for a phone line, it costs about £10. Local calls are 1p/minute with a minimum charge of 5p.
There are multiple providers as well, so you can shop around for the best prices.
I hate fileplanet but I thought I would try it - the result was it crashed opera repeatedly until I gave up.
A link from that page shows why people think that there isnt any progress on E.
