The bigggest software company of the world just admits being stalled.
It's high time small development structures came with new things in order to convince the investors to empty their pockets.
Now, if we consider Microsoft's usual tendency to buy interesting startups, then the above-mentioned investors will for sure be there to re-sell them their shares.
Or, of course, I could be dreaming but I hope not : I have some nice new software concepts for sale:-)
handsprping may still be handspring not sure : if Handspring remains, their price will drop due to the lower PalmOS license fee, so the Palm may even sell less.

So, is this the impressive calculator Sony once told about before releasing the PS2 ? Does it only come with games or will there be "productivity apps" ? How many MIPS does it have ? Will it fairly contribute to either SETI@home or any other distributed.net project ?
Some years ago, my bro'in law was vp at Vodafon. He showed me their latest product : MyAirMail. It was exactly the same thing as mentioned above except that it would send and receive real emails and be 4-times smaller.
So, is there a market for this new im device when there has already been such products in the past ?
I hope metamods will fix this, otherwise, I predict some further trolling against this buggy "ubiquitous" way of thinking: 90% of the Americans (the ones who don't read slashdot, work hard or are dying to, the ones who starve, the ones who don't have access to the money your lobbyist leader gather, the ones who just wish their voice could be as loud as French workers'voices) surely agree with me.

what's the point of having Linux running KDE, running OSX running Mozilla (see task bar) ???

I used to code for BeOS : the API was stunningly easy to learn.
I only found such pleasure with the Zaurus Qt API... a long, long time later.
