    Because people fear change! A few years down the line everyone will have one or an iGlass. Personally I can't wait to have a go.

    I've scanned the comments on here, given that a lot of opposition seems to consist of tinfoil hat wearers and conspiracy theory nuts (admittedly /. is a bit of a self selecting audience for this kind of thing), I don't think Google have too much to worry about.

    Yes. I suspect though if ever google started to abuse the power then an alternative space could gain prominence. This probably acts as a motivation to keep google honest.

    I may be wrong but I think some networks replace the google controlled market by default with their own offering?

    Of course with Android you always have the option of getting software from sources other than the main sanctioned market. Unlike a certain other smartphone OS I could mention.

    Yeah.. I could write a bunch of distructive shellscripts. But
    #!/usr/bin/bash

    Actually, I agree with you about that sequence, swapping glorfindel for arwen at that point was accecptable really.

    But the wasted time I was reffering to pertains to the extra scenes already added in the Two Towers, and no doubt in Return of the king. The impression that Arwen is crossing the sea, and aragorns whole seqwuence before going to helms deep added very little and they're wrting in pointless extra plot to raise Arwen's involvement whilst they cut in other areas of the original.

Say what you like about IE loading quickly (except on macos which makes most believe that most of it is memory resident in windoze anyway..) but I wouldn't give up my tabbed browsing, popup blacklisting and easy customisations for the world. Maybe one day IE will be as good as Phoenix :)

    And if anyone mentions IE around here then pah! I have to use IE at work and at home I have Moz & Galeon & lynx & links and I think that the first two have definatly surpassed IE and the second two don't have to becuase they do their own thing. Oh and Konquorer is quite impressive as well. Basically with a choice like this why does anybody bother to ty and tell (linux, bsd etc) users that IE somekind of wonder product, when I think it's being left far beind. IMO. Sorry this has got horrably off topic and ranty, I am going to go have a coffee........

    Konquorer for windows could be a good idea but Mozilla is already there and personally I think it's all you could need (except possibly galeon!).
