If an organization were silly enough to store HIPAA government data like personal health records on MSFT's Office cloud service, they would deserve the requisite regulatory smackdown.
Personally, I'd be more worried that this puts a corporation - and not an especially ethical one - in between me and my data, and that I can't any longer get between others (government, snoops, privacy breaches on the MSFT side) and that data.

In my opinion, these manufacturers are only agreeing to make a token number of Windows tablets to maintain their relationship with Microsoft.
So long as they placate Ballmer's feeble attempt to enter the tablet space with overpriced inferior devices, Microsoft isn't as likely to try to encroach on their bread and butter, affordable laptops, or make trouble for them in Windows licensing.
However, even this is temporary. When the Winodws 8 tablets inevitably flop as the Windows RT tablets and Windows phones have, Microsoft is going to have to look at Windows licensing as their only avenue to drive revenues. Acer and others can postpone this while the market moves to tablets, a place where they make pure revenue without paying Microsoft's licensing taxes.
Right so that's why whenever Americans appear in a very popular Vietnamese movie the Americans murder and rape everyone? Because it's not like the My Lai Massacre never happened.
This objection is silly because Jabba's Palace and the Hagia Sophia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hagia_Sophia ) don't look much alike at all, other than having a dome, in which case they'd better prepare for a lot more outrage when they start to see other photos of the outside world...
With what remains of the laptop computer market, we probably won't see decent customer service again. Prices and costs are cut to the bone because it's an industry that is in its final years. There's no incentive to premium-price becuase that market is so small. Cheap componentry and minimal support are the new normal in this industry. If you want more, the answer regrettably is probably Apple.
MSFT's internal study predicted that Munich would have saved so much because everyone would have been too busy dancing with their tablets to perform any governance or spend any money.
Haven't you seen the dancing tablet commercials? I think they will sell well because people dance when they are using them. Also, you can pay a bunch of extra money to have it be pink.
Surely this is the death knell for all other tablets.

I meant to say "offline"
Leisure Suit Larry 1
I have no idea why anyone would buy any game, from any publisher, that required an internet connection for online play. Mind-boggling.
I love SimCity, but would never consider this game for that very reason.
Perhaps the author of TFA is unaware of the fact that iDevices all come with web browsers, which can show porn easily?

"Bellingham is a small town about a 1.5 hour drive away from Seattle, and a shorter distance from Vancouver, Canada. Last year they had 1200 people."
Bellingham, or the LinuxFest?
TERMINAL APPLICATION ERROR

You'd be in heap big trouble if a child picked up the printout, I think.
But what you might really love is the opportunity to re-finance your home at 0.01%!
I think the death spiral is due to the fact that fewer and fewer people buy these items each year, items which were sold on razor-thin margins anyway.
Right so that's why whenever Americans appear in a very popular Vietnamese movie the Americans murder and rape everyone? Because it's not like the My Lai Massacre never happened.
It happened.
Past tense.
No kidding, they'll be rigging it for demolition by sundown
I am altering the world. Pray I don't alter it further.

The question in my mind is why lenovo would want to acquire RIM at all. It's like adopting the mangiest, sickliest animal at the shelter.

I bet if you could make a movie out of the code they'd find a way to leak the information.
"Now is the time on Surface when we dance!"
I think it means "last ditch effort to save a customer" pricing

they also gave us Battlefield Earth, which is one of the most gloriously bad, campy, unintentionally funny films ever made.
