    ...except...

    a) He hasn't failed to be exempted from extradition - it's still being looked at by the Home Office
    b) He's not asking for a "get out of jail free" card - it's about being tried (and, if found guilty) imprisoned in the UK rather than the US
    c) The "Aspergers defence" only arose - some years after the event - because Simon Baron-Cohen saw an interview with him and suggested he may be suffering from the condition

    Just a thought...

Do you carry your entire health history around with you 24/7? Or can remember every little detail of every drug you've taken, what for, and when?

If so, fair enough - for the rest of us however, somebody (or thing) will have to do the remembering for us...

(I should mention at this point my first job was as a developer on a pathology system used mainly by NHS hospitals)

That does rather assume they can afford to pay for the rest of the meal as well, doesn't it?

"Interestingly, Nintendo did not patent any gestures at all in the creation of the Wii controller, instead focusing entirely on patenting facets of the device. Their patent covers a controller that contains an accelerometer, but not the gestures used to operate it."

That's standard NASA/Pentagon configuration since before 2001 isn't it? Just ask Gary McKinnon.

(Aside: Does that mean the "special" - or is it "essential" - relationship is void, and the US and UK should be at war too?)

Didn't stop them putting leaflets in the post box every few weeks trying to get us to sign up though...
