In the span of one week. I get 2 gigs of space with yahoo (I pay), a gmail invite, and this happens.
The irony is that I've had the yahoo for years and I'm forwarding everything to my gmail account (I at least have to try it). Plus, I'm due for renewal at yahoo in about two weeks.
Part of me says keep the yahoo...I've had it longer. Of course, the labeling and searching with gmail is nice.
Maybe I'll keep both and keep passing the yahoo over to gmail.
Um...I was already paying for the 19.95 POP3 service. I got the 2 gig already. The interface, while still yahoo, looks very simplististic, a la you know who.
It's incredible. How did anyone ever survive the city during that time period? If you feel like doing a little sleuthing and completing some unsolved cases, check it out. There's solved cases there as well.
It's a good complement to Devil in the White City by Erik Larsen.

Imagine the hoops to jump through.
Wasn't Wembley a fraggle?
Does anyone else remember the Amish Rake Fight URL that was used on Usnet and forums?
You'd click it and get the big 'ol FU.
You need Guild Wars.
I think I remember reading in my Wired print rag yesterday that Eps 4-6 will be re-released in 3D as well in the near future.
Possibly even using that new 3D digital tech that him, Cameron, Rodroguiz, and others are harping about.

In another news...
You can still murder someone and then walk away in 2-4 years.
You've got the best joke site on the 'net. Uh...yeah...conquering the world. Here's some money.
Little girl: Are you a CEO of Streamcast Networks?
Michael Weiss: I am today.
Oh, wait. That's Michael T. Weiss
Dang. Ms. Parker
What with all those portals opening up...who knows what your going to get.
What do I know...I'm from City 17, not Black Mesa.
Wasn't this called VanEck Phreaking or something like that when you could see what was broadcasted on the screen from one computer to another?
It was a scene in Cryptonomicron, I believe.
In other news the movie industry and book industry just keep putting out their usual mature content crap.
Home must have been Fallujah.
And to think I almost worked my way up from stockman to IT there.
Scarey as hell.
Many people obtained the Limited Collector's Edition.
Suckers.
LET. IT. DIE.
Must be eye-dee-ten-tee

"I'm very little! You cheat very big!"
"Hey, lady! You call him Dr. Jones!"
I only had this happen once for about five minutes.

This reminds me of a website that Nothwestern has opened that has most of the case files from Chicago homicides from 1870 to 1930.
Take a look.

Isn't this like Zope? It can all be tagged and put in a database. Or am I misunderstanding?
I loved all of Stephenson's books, except for Quicksilver.
/. came as a surprise to me.
To tell you how bad, seeing this post on
"Ask not what your country can do for you..."
...and "I did not have sexual relations..." is NOT one of them.
"I have a dream..."
"...tear down these walls!"
You're right, these weren't spoken on TV, but TV was there to get them.
There's a lot more, but I cannot think of one good thing in the last 15 years.
