The problem with Yoda's ethic of detachment is that it's dead contrary to the unabashed humanism with which the whole story ends in Return of the Jedi, where human attachments -- filial loyalty, paternal bonds -- ultimately save the galaxy, destroy the Sith and the Empire, and redeem Anakin' lost soul.

That's why: Failed have I. Into exile I must go.

When I studied waves at college, I got the impression that stationary waves could be fashioned out of any form of waves.

Why can't (in theory, the engineering behind it is another matter) we keep a stationary wave of light with poles coincident with the ends of the blade and thus create a lightsaber? I know it would not *look* like a lightsaber (you wouldn't see the light coming through) but I'm pretty sure that if you could make such a wave, out of ,say, CO2 very powerful laser.... anything that goes in the middle would be badly burned.

Is it ok to notify the community about how the leader feels and where he's headed from a medical perspective? Yes. But, is the official changelog of the distribution the right place to do it? Would such a thing be done in a commercial product?

    Ok:

"Commercial" (or rather proprietary)products do not have changelogs. They have release schedules and such marketing BS. Even if such a product is a one man show, outsiders do not know it, and if something happens to that man, many times the schedules are delayed and/or the product may never hit the shelves. I think you are judging apples with an orange mind.
