Well except in character creation. One word "boring". SWG raised the bar very high and this is where WoW falls flat on it's face. Very little differences between characters of the same race. It reminded me of those free to play MMORPGs that have been slowly rising up. I expect that from them not from Blizzard.
I was at a convention once and found that a guild mate from SWG was there. Over the phone we decided which area to meet in. Got there and walked right up to him with 50 people standing around cause he looked like his toon. Now that is dome serious design options.
I like the memories for life one. It would be nice to have pictures and such saved away and easy to access.
Of course scanning in a huge box of random sized pictures is hard. Anyone know an easy way to do that? Document feeders look like they'd have to bend the picture to send it through.
He's right and it's not anything new. Anyone with half a brain knows that the real problem lies in enforcement of the policies. Not just haing the policies. You just have to want to do it.
Of course they can only start saying this now since they fixed their spam problem.
The pot has been sand blasted from black to silver. What's the kettle going to do now?
I know whois would just get ripped a new one but what about a system like that on verifying a domains true existance?
It would have to be a true/false response so it would be fast. No vitals returned just if the domain is really regisitered or not.
DNS time out. Look for in the "quick-whois" for it. It's not there (but whois gave a non-timeout response) drop the message. If they are there (or a "quick-whois" timeout) then queue it like normal.
It's a rough idea and probably not that good of a one; come up with a better one then.
Sounds silly to have to double lookup. Maybe a DNS modification would be better... The query should be able to say if a domain is registered or not they all have at least that record right?
Web Caller-ID is not a cure-all for the phishing problem
How about actually going after the people doing the scams as a solution. Also the providers who don't shut them down.
I must have missed that part in the article. This is going to be just like the spam problem. It's a problem that the end user needs to deal with and not something to be corrected at the source. Well not until at least it gets to epidemic proportions.
Well that would be an upgrade accesory kit along with the hover conversion. I'm sure if you ask nicely you can find out what year you need to visit for the update.
The one I use to work for did this sort of thing all the time. It's nice to see the rest of the world is trying to catch up to the little guys.
In our case though we'd contact the customer first (if possible) and try to get it resolved before shutting them down. For a BIG company I guess this is at least a start.
With the calls going to 911 it can easily be put in the category of endangering public saftey. Since it's easy to assume that the machines make the calls late at night.
3:21am 911 operater: Hello caller: Dead air
In this situation what do they do? They dispatch.
So with this great new wonderful bill they get to tack on more to something that already had a stiff penalty.
What possesed this guy to do this anyway? Come on "I'll hack it to call 911". That's just asking for them to hunt you down.
I would have liked to hear their side on this. Unless I just glazed right over it talking about other groups moving to Open Source and their woes or reasons that sounded like they shouldn't count.
Well I had a 4-5 a day Mt Dew habit. I stopped August 4th and haven't had one since.
Here's how I did it.
1. Cut back for about 2 weeks - just enough to avoid the headaches. Choose something else to drink instead when you can.
2. Then after that just quit the biggest source(s) cold turkey. I had a pop for lunch or dinner. That was enough with pain killers to keep the headaches from being constant.
Then the hard part wait it out. It won't take more than a few days for the headaches to go away. Drink lots of water too.
Have a great party and give out very nice bonuses.
Nothing better for moral than a great party where those who worked and suffered, like significant others, can have a good time. Then give out the bonus and make it even better.
Granted it would deduct a bit from the bonus for the party fund but not a whole lot per person overall.
Now, World of Warcraft... Blizzard did it right.

That should be Star Wars Battle Front

The Kuro box is pretty slick. A version of the Buffalo technology linkstation.

It holds one drive and you can add an additional drive through a USB connection. You add your own drives to boot and it's not at a bad price.
Look at it again. It's a lot more than just what you see.
It also brings your control panel compatability
with
Playstation One or Playstation Two
Xbox
Gamecube
Dreamcast
Apple
and your PC
A normal key encoder can't do this from what I have read.
Owners of small domains, beware: no more computerless vacations that last more than 4 days at a time!
Owners of small domains beware? The big ones should fear just as much. They never answer email as it is.
Also all those spammer networks too. Hmmm they don't answer I guess it's time to transfer their domain name...
virtually nobody could distinguish over 45
Actually human eyes can perceive well over 45 frames per second.
Articles have been written about this and just an example:

Let me guess you're probably getting the following attempts on the accounts
test, guest, admin, user, and root
At least that's what I've been noticing over the last week on my boxes.
Just someone scanning by looking for accounts to exploit by the looks.
She's a Mac user and they were worse even before they all became Unix users too.
Yes that is a problem with Mac users now. They got Unix (underneath) and they think they are even better than before.
I'm all for busting the movie pirates. There isn't a reason for it other than doing something stupid.
Now if the threatre operators would just go crazy about the people who just have to answer/check their cell phone during the show.
Can't wait till May 15th 2005!

Neither can I, that's only 4 more days till episode III is released.

The schools lost Internet access including emails to and from elsewhere on the Internet
How is the email issue important except pointing out whoever is in charge of their network had a badly planned set up for email.

Where is the story from Munich on this?

Good luck!
The developers should listen, they don't have to respond or do what the customers want of course.
Now with that said if they don't listen and react enough they will not please the customers and loose those who are not happy.

Everytime a wireless caller calls my phone I get
"Wireless Caller" on the display.
Unless of course I plug that persons number into the phone system.
