    And apparently has never watched the series. At least not the British Police.
    To watch the series, it's astounding that yes, you can see threads in people's lives, and the child at seven never completely disappears, but you also see an astounding power to mold your live as you go and turn what might have been called lousy behavior as a child into an asset as an adult. Tony, for one is where he is today due to his strong will and risk taking, which looked questionable as a youngster but is a big advantage as a successful adult.

    And you have agreed to the terms of a license for the Apple software running on it.
    If you don't like the terms, don't agree to them.
    Apple is not beholden to fulfill the wish list of everyone on the long tail of interesting apps.
    If you can run something on there without violating those terms, knock yourself out.
    If not, you're free to pick up an OpenMOKO or an Android.

    I doubt Sun would be willing to live with their product as an unsupported environment.

    I'm still not sure why this is worth anything other than a meetoo for Sun.

    Given the native dev system and OS on the iPhone, and the utter dearth of the promised Java as universal, HW independent environment (wasn't it supposed to be on my light switches and fridge by now?), what's the point? So when my MOTO dies I can enjoy the same dog apps on my new iPhone?

    I understand what he said - and I know what mouse accel is and why it's useful - I'm trying to get at the usefulness for the desired zero accel.

    Is there an app that works better under it? Tablet use? Fine(st) grained control?

    If it's just personal preference, fine.

    We can be done with this silly laundry nonsense and get on with the business of civilization!

    This sounds like the vacuum cleaner "revolution" - you spend the same amount of time cleaning your house in the year 2000 as you did in 1900.
    You simply go over the entire floor with a vacuum cleaner instead of a broom.
    And now in 2007 we spend the same time following the Roomba, putting missed pieces of dirt back in its path.

    Unless people were watching the washer and dryer as if they were TVs, this may not be any great gain to the average person.
