Yes, my parents bought around $400 worth of rockets & mortars this year from Phantom Fireworks for their yearly New Years celebration. Too bad it looks like rain this year....
Phantom sells the *good* fireworks that are probably illegal in your state. And mine for that matter but seeing as the sheriff of the county I live in has a stake in the business, I doubt it's going anywhere any time soon.
In the PC game Arcanum, one of the NPC's is named Gilbert Bates i.e. Gil Bates. He's also a wealthy technologist who origianly stole the idea (refinements on a dwarven steam engine) that made him rich & famous. Pretty funny actually.
The only problem I've ever had with GTA3 was with the SafeDisc2 copy protection not letting it be read (easily) on my DVD/CD-RW. I usually have to restart my computer (an otherwise stable PC) before I try to play it. Either that or go and get a cd-crack for a game I payed $50 bucks for.
Sorry, my customers dictate what CAD package I use for their drawings. Until AutoDesk decides to start making a linux version of their software, there isn't any way I could switch. Ironically, AutoDesk used to make a version of AutoCad for UNIX, either it was so "popular" it was dropped of MS got a hold of them. Or both.
And before you try to bring up an arguement for IntelliCad, it's very nice software, but it doesn't do *everything* I need it to do.
Honestly, I really wish I that BeOS could have gotten off the ground.
Why didn't he just use TIGER maps like everyone else?

Thankfully it stopped raining around 11:30 where I live so we got to stay dry while we were shooting them off.

p.s. I'm in north Florida, near Jacksonville.

Have your brother get a program called StyleXP. XP is very themeable once you replace a certain .DLL file.

Apple's next patent, washable computers.

Generra "Hypercolor" clothes that you couldn't wash in warm/hot water or they would lose their ability.

Closer to an ogre in size, behaviour & diet....

If you have Neverwinter Nights someone has made a module for it that is probably as close as you can get to Pool of Radiance with the Aurora engine.
Jaysyn
I'll agree with that. Sanity's Requiem is one creepy game.
Jaysyn
The first time I saw the commercial for that game, I nearly pissed myself laughing.
Jaysyn
Equal representation by state & tax bracket?

Only if I'm in charge.
Jaysyn
Shoulda yelled down the bus, "Will the real Slim Shady please stand up."
Then took his seat.
Jaysyn
We just didn't want any competition, apparently.
Jaysyn
You do realize that you just made the point I was trying to make at the beginning of this discussion, right?
Jaysyn
Sony already makes a Mavica that uses a (special 184MB) CD-R. It's been out for at least 2 years.
Jaysyn
Maybe they'll get it right next time....
Jaysyn
Very proud, they've indirectly made an open source program better. :)
Jaysyn
Now that is the true difference between open source & the other guys.
Jaysyn
I'm sure there are 1000's of people who do the exact opposite of what you said.
I'm sure lots of people will just download something to have it, never check it, never listen to it.
Of course this is just my experience from the 100's of mislabled files I've downloaded over P2P.
Jaysyn
I hope no one tells the RIAA about this. They will be putting landmines in P2P soon.
