When I "fix" a Windows PC I always make sure to explain to the owner exactly what NoScript does & how to use it. I also stress to them how important it is that they actually use it & don't just "enable all" scripts. I generally don't charge my friends or co-workers for the 1st time I clean a PC but the on the two occasions I did get a PC back that had the floodgates opened so to speak, I charged the owner about $10 less than what Best Buy does for cleaning a PC. You can't fix stupid, but you can make them pay for it.
If they aren't public websites then they are of little concern to the rest of us. Firefox still works just fine for 99.9% of the Internet, not including little walled gardens like you are referring to.
I've been using Firefox since it was called Phoenix & I cannot remember the last time I've stumbled across a public website that you *had* to be using IE to view. My bank, credit union & insurance company all render just fine with Firefox.
Well at least there is no way to outsource the designing & building of local communications infrastructure. So my job is safe for a while. Oh sure, they can do the design over there, but the quality is abysmal & there is no way the tools at the DOT will put up with the language barrier while permitting. Also, there is no way the customer (a local telco / cable co) will put up with having to constantly resubmit borked permits @ x amount per pop either. I know for a fact that outsourcing has left such a bad taste in at least one major CATV company that they won't even take bids from Indian contractors anymore.
"The planned sequel to The Hobbit is to be an *original story not written by Tolkien*, covering the 60 years between The Hobbit, and the Lord of the Rings."

Doh, I somehow missed that 2 years ago. I thought they were just Bioware's publisher.
Good thing the combo of AdBlock, NoScript & FlashBlock will basically prevent these kinds of attacks.
Them first is what I say.
And I helped shove them into the incinerators....
And I want a pony.
Isn't Bioware big enough to dictate terms to EA?
Modding down into oblivion in 5.. 4... 3... 2...
Yup, grab your popcorn folks, this one will be interesting.
The word you are looking for is "except".

We're talking about the Internet. We really don't care about your companies intranet.

If you find this concept quaint then why are vinyl sales slowly rising?
Because the dynamic range of vinyl albums can't be compressed as much as they are on a CD resulting in better sounding music?
Consoles are a joke, period.

Mod parent up!
That's kinda like saying the Hobbit was the sequel to the Silmarillion.
Wow, someone is Troll-modding the hell out of anyone who has anything bad to say about the proposed sequel.
Then, they break dance!
You saw Alice in Wonderland too it seems.
Ooh, looks like I pissed off a Peter Jackson fanboy with mod points!

Thanks but no thanks.
Why did you get a MP3 player that is encumbered with such shitty DRM? I'm sure there are much more open devices out there.
If we'd bother to actually *declare war* on somebody, anybody, then your argument would have merit. As of right now, it doesn't.
... it's pining for the fjords!
