    This is so true. Last year I was dating this girl, dual-citizenship, but she lived most of her life in Heidelburg. We both work in the same place (still friends even) but I live "out of town". She couldn't believe how far I drive to work every day. It's only about 45 miles really, I've heard of much longer commutes.

    "Driving to your house is like driving thru 10 towns back in Germany" Her exact words.

    Until they visit, Europeans generally have no idea of how spread out the US is geographically.

    Please explain to me how FIOS isn't fiber because I spent a good part of last year drawing construction plans for Verizon & I'm damn sure we were putting down Fujitsu glass in those.

    Don't worry about SPORE, there are already plenty of cracks for it. Sure you can't send your creations around, but if they do shut down the central servers I bet someone will figure that part out in about a month.

    Yeah, I like Impulse too, I've found some great indie games on there I would have never heard about. Shadowgrounds was my latest purchase & those guys (the developer) pretty much nailed it.

    Actually the brand new ATM machine at the closest Wachovia Bank in my hometown does just this. Spits out the money, asks if you are done & *then* finally asks you if you want your card back. I've already found one card stuck in there (that I dropped in the night deposit box) & I've caught myself from taking off without my card once or twice.

    This is a brand new machine, less than 6 months since it's installation.

    Have you tried Galactic Civilizations? They specifically don't "cheat" with their AI, although turning that on is an option if you still need a challenge.
