Switch view from computers in the warehouse to thin clients in the warehouse. Rack the actaul computers in a computer room, then run any of the KVM/VNC/Terminal on machines with NO moving parts that you want in the warehouse. This way cold or dust, does no effect the actual machines doing work and it lowers the heat build up in the warehouse.

You want to look at ThinClients for this terminal feature. You may also want to look at ALL-in-One unit that has screen and processor built in to a single in closure so one heat source helps the other to all a little warmer then enviroment. The nice part if a unit goes out, you just replace the unit, the actual software is still running in the computer room awaiting for reconnect, though you can run browser based.

Someelse to consider is wireless though out. Thise way workstations can be moved. Also scanners on forklifts and wearable computers can be used. See: http://www.infologixsys.com/products/Supply-Chain/ Products/Vehicle-Mount-PC/LXE/default.asp for list of computers/terminials that are built for freezers.

I use to help a computer installation in a warehouse, though it was at temp of outside air in Chicago, it also had large dust build ups that can short out a machine.

    We have NO VOICE.

Microsoft's answers to most questions of why? Their customer reqested it. Who are MS customers???? It is not us or just about ANY HUMAN. MS will NOT sell to us. They sell to stories and manufactures.

I assemble my own machines, so I am a manufacure. I went to MS when W98OSR2 was out and requested to buy the OS, since OEM-DELL, assemeblers-could get OSR2. They first refused, then sent me into finding a distributer that will sell it to me in chuncks of 5, at full retail price, ONLY AFTER I pay $500 to the right to talk to them. That what pushed me in Linux.

This current stage of Trusted Machines is just another step in locking out Linux. The HMDI is doing that by having you buy into deal to get a key that will allow you to pay movie. With this step, you will have buy in just to use your machine, period.

MS Monoploy is live and well. They are the sherif in town. They want to see everythnig that you are doing. That better be puring large chunks of cash in their pockets.
