Las Vegas odds makers are giving 2-to-1 that NASA will find a way to much it up
Hmm, the shuttle aint launching for another 6 months, at best. I'm guessing they'll be a crew changeover before then - and Nasa needs to stay in Russia's good books.
Of course, for $20 million a person, you could launch 7 people - the compliment of a shuttle - for $140m. The average shuttle flight costs $500m.
I think your best bet is the "gift" system, mentioned elsewhere
Basically, set a realistic monthly budget. Doesnt matter if its $20 or $2000. Doesnt matter where the money comes from. Then decide who the best contributers to the project are (include yourself in the running), and distribute the money as gifts. Someone working on the graphics end? Get them a new ATI 9700 or whatever is in fashion. Someone crunching numbers? A processor upgrade might come in handy. Pay someones DSL bill for the month.
You could even try a deal with a computer company. Get cheap parts, and they get to sponsor your site. Or something.
Because a scale printout would mean that the smaller planets would be measured in micrometers. Having to walk 40 miles between planets a few feet across give a much better example of the size of the system.
rotor blades fully under water and turning at about 20 rpm (so no harm to the fish).
Erm, 11m blades, spinning arround, mean the outside of the blades travel 3.14*2*11*20/60 metres per second, thats about 50mph. I wouldnt want to be hit by one of them!
If you look at just economics, with state-markets on the far left and free-markets on the far right, then the worst regimes of recent times have been on the far left (Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot) or at the very least left of center (Hitler).
But many people equate rightwing with authoritarian, so they say that Hitler, and the BNP, are right wing
Either way, right/left isn't a very good way of defining ones political beliefs.
I agree with government - they shouldn't be aloud to import anything unless they have to. It's better to spend twice as much for a local product because the money stays in the economy. Fortunatly some councils here in the UK are doing that. They are moving to linux - meaning less money is going to Redmond, and more is going into the IT support market, or being saved completly.
Private firms can do whatever they want, however I believe they should have to say when they have offshore call centers etc. In supermarekts they label lamb as "New Zealand Lamb", I might decide to spend more and get welsh lamb, because it keeps it in the economy.
Right, I know about 80 people. I know about 80 people with a phone. Most at the *very* least send 3 or 4 text's a day, a lot send over 10. Everyone plays games, even if it's just snake waiting for trains. I've sent quite a few pictures too, usualy to email addresses cause I only know a couple of people with picture phones.
A few people use things like calanders, alarms, notes, etc.
Just because *you* dont use the tech doesnt mean the majority of people in the advanced world dont.
It'd contain all the rejected stories submitted to the editors that day. I'd love to see those! Sure, some will suck and some will be dupes, but there's all those rare gems of stories we'll never get to see.

Use USB for your mouse and scanner, for anything heavier use firewire whenever possible.
My scanners pretty heavy, heavier then my hard drive, so I use USB for HDD right?

Thanks for assuming I'm a pirate, MPAA. You might just've made me one.
Do you have a parrot?
DUMBASS CRASHES CAR
Keeps watch on during recharging; can't turn left.

11m radius, so the outside travels 2(PI)r per revolution, or arround 70m. It does that every 3 seconds, so travels arround 25m/s, or 80kph, or 50mph.

It's not self loathing, it's a vacuum cleaner!
depends on your definition of left/right wing.

Why dont they give out bittorrent links?
While the post office is working out which "John Smith" to send a letter too is good, surely they should sort out the missing 500,000 letters/week?
Which begs the question why they didnt release 6 * 2.5 hour films. As well as making more money, they could have fit more stuff in.
No, Oprahism, Voodoo and Robotology

Therefore, if current law permits this practice, then Congress has a clear responsibility to change the laws.
Or change the constitution....

Note to mods: This is an "underrated" post
