That makes sense (why companies wouldn't want the information released). If the companies wanted to release it, CPI wouldn't have to go to the FCC. The real question is why the FCC isn't giving Americans information that would be useful to them (us).
I have never seen an affordable wireless broadband service. In my area it's either the cable monopoly or the phone monopoly (DSL) for broadband. So maybe it would make sense if only government granted monopolies had to follow network neutrality. But regardless, companies aren't going to play nice. Charging for specific services / protocols is wrong, and there should be no ISPs doing it. If some service is sucking up bandwidth they can charge the user for more bandwidth.
They could always switch to combat take offs and landings, i.e., spiral up/down from the airport. It might costs the airlines a little more and maybe muck up traffic. But if it was necessary it's easily possible. But there's a pretty low domestic threat, so meh.
A shoulder fired rocket can not shoot that high. The plane is much more vulnerable when it is taking off or landing. So... they should just install them at big airports to protect all jets coming in or out.
I did know anal retentive baristas that didn't allow you to get away with calling your drink in the wrong order
They only use that order because it's the same order as the marking template on the side of the cup. Anyone who thinks that it's something that coffee drinkers should know is too full of themselves to realize there's a place outside of their workplace. Most people I know just laugh when you try and place an order that's not the standard english way.
Women dont kill themselves because they're afraid to. Women tend to kill themselves with pills instead of guns. Women also believe in God more than men do for the same reason. Yes, I am a sociologist.
(maybe there's some other factors, but it isn't just because men are put under more pressure like you state)
I used to go drag racing pretty often, and have been around GTOs and GTO fans. The reason nobody likes it is because it likes just like any other pontiac. I would tell my girlfriend "hey, there's a new GTO," and she would recognize the GTO name, but couldn't figure out which car I was pointing to. Then she wouldn't believe me when I figured out what car I was talking about.
No. Cell phone companies have trained you to ignore that they're scamming everybody. They claim that you are subsidizing the sticker price of the phone by paying it off over 2 years. So why don't they offer a discount on service if you buy your own phone (esp. from a third party)? It's because they want to lock out third party phones. Cell phone companies avoid selling a "pay up front and get a lower monthly rate" plan because then people will start asking why it only applies to certain brands of phones.
Eh? Because more common letters are at the beginning of the key presses instead of the middle or end. So if you are typing "ddddddddddd," it will be twice as quick to use the abc layout. If you are typing this slashdot post, it would presumably be 1/3 quicker to use an optimized layout.
Because a bum getting something to eat is something I would donate to, but not the same bum buying booze. So, if the bum said "I want to get drunk" I wouldn't pay him, and other people wouldn't either. So the bum stops being honest, and says "I need money so I can buy food." That's what makes him a jerk.
"If you want him to have food, then give him food." So if I want to give people information on the CDs they are playing, I should donate to an organization that collects and shares CD info? Like CDDB was claimed to be?
If you give $5 to a bum after he says "I'm hungry," then it's assumed he's going to buy food. If the bum uses the money to buy more wine, then I have a reason to be pissed. If Gracenote had said "I'm going to take your info and sell it, and not even give you access to it for free. Hey, at least I ain't bullshittin' ya." Then people might not be as upset.
the history of Iraq, Iran and the US is totally irrelevant to this opinion Yeah, just like when talking about nuke conversations, the history of Japan and the US doesn't matter.
All I'm saying is that the United States sold chemical and biological weapons to Iraq Not according to wikipedia: Much of what Iraq received from the US, however, were not arms per se, but so-called dual-use technology-- mainframe computers, armored ambulances, helicopters, chemicals, and the like, with potential civilian uses as well as military applications Surely if "dual-use" could easily be replaced by "weapons," then you could use "dual-use" with the same effect.
If you're going to say "I can have my opinion and spout off inaccuracies, and there's nothing wrong with that." Then I guess I cannot argue with you.
Speaking in specifics, before making (and especially voicing) an opinion about US involvement in the Iran-Iraq War you should know about: US support of the Shah, Iran's revolution, Iran Hostage Crisis, Iran's anti-US sentiment (which btw, was even less informed and blood-thirsty than the war on terror and was similar in nature to the red scare), and the some parts of the Cold War. I think reading Guests of the Ayotollah alone would give you enough information.
There's nothing wrong with saying "I don't have enough information to have an opinion." People should do it more often.
"As you proposed in your question maybe. Jealousy is not a trait of man. Jealousy is a trait maybe of women but that is another - in that - in that very special-- trait. It's a very special trait. Men do not have jealousy especially if this competition is competition there in the interests of the nation..."

I worked for an ISP, and you are correct. I've had a few situations where people were crying because we had a dial-up number change.

1.) Counter-intelligence. Someone with bad credit is more likely to sell information money to pull themselves out of debt.
2.) I don't know.
Then why don't they give me a discount if I purchase my own phone? Because it's a scam.
This website looks like it was created with NetObjects, but seems to include a dreamweaver template file. Is it really dreamweaver?
I guess you could go bid on a few thousand lines of code to verify it's efficiency. ...? dumb.

Because Office is more common than Acrobat?
not because it is interesting...
Those are retail prices for equipment. It's already marked up.
How about having a photocopier in a library?
What? Like Turkey? They have a muslim government, refused to support the US in Iraq, but they don't support terrorism.
They only got popular because of dealing with Clear Channel (like any other pop band). Heaven forbid that the opposite happens.

In 2003 he said this choice paragraph:
"As you proposed in your question maybe. Jealousy is not a trait of man. Jealousy is a trait maybe of women but that is another - in that - in that very special-- trait. It's a very special trait. Men do not have jealousy especially if this competition is competition there in the interests of the nation..."
