    AFAIK we need to land within a very narrow band around the equator for the solar panels. There is not enough light reaching the surface outside that band to power the rovers.

    Of course the user will have to learn that a "Favorite" is now a "Bookmark".

    A bookmark make more sense to me than a favorite anyway. WTH, is my banking site a favorite of mine? Now porn sites ....

    yea except that it infects windows machines :) not linux

    So then they run through all possible IP addresses and throw out the ones doing a DoS (ie: Windows).

    The rest are obviously in violation.

    A lawyer knows nothing about the truth. He only knows about winning and losing.

    If he wins in court then that is good. If he loses in court then that is bad.

    Truth and guilt have nothing to do with it.

    Which is why lawyers should be banned from politics. But that is another issue.....

    A cop pulls you over for weaving all over the road. He asks you to do the basic roadside test. You stumble and fall down. The smell of liquor is strong on your breath, your eyes are bloodshot, you babble and are incoherant.

    How many people KNOW you are drunk? You (well maybe not) and the cop. So he brings you in. But, horrors of horrors, he forgets Maranda (sp?).

    So your lawyer gets you off. Should you get off?

    If a person wants to take advantage of a legal loophole, why blame the lawyer? Why not blame the law (for being bad), the legislators (for not fixing it) or the person (for unethically exploiting it)?

    Which is precisely the problem.

    No longer are we using the "spirit" of the law, we are arguing about the "letter" of the law.

    So if you are caught drinking and driving, you get a lawyer to argue some obscure point of law to get you off.

    But you WERE drinkng and driving, and therefore breaking the spirit of the law.

    Lawyers have created a huge industry which does nothing but split hairs. And they profit from it.

    Damn it, if you break the law you SHOULD be held accountable!

    The number of people that actually USE their mind is depressingly low. Most people simply watch some talking head spew an opinion, then adopt that as there own, because "he is famous". Most people have an opinion based on the last person who talked to them.

    If this was not true, then our society would be MUCH different, democracy would actually work, and we would be better off.

    Most people are idiots.

    I suppose I am going to get a lot of "ooooh flame bait" for this :-(

    I'd like to stay as far away from this as possible

    You may not have a choice, IF you want to stay competetive.

    Real Soon Now(tm) the implants will be able to be "read' by our brains. Then you have two-communication with a computer just by thinking about it.

    So, instant:
    1. computations, including complex transforms
    2. reference look up. Who needs a library?
    3. communications (holy shit, can you imagine the spam???)
    And these are just off the top of my head (pun?). I am sure that once this becomes common the applications will be endless. Just like the first computers did math (shell trajectories), then later came the cool stuff.

    I will want this!
