you need to make a.xinitrc file (and chmod +x it), or change your system's xinitrc file to load a window manager. look in/etc/X11 or in/usr/X11R6/lib/X11, i think.
these are scripts that get executed by startx, after X loads.

Not that I really have a desire to read MSN, but Internet Explorer for UNIX displays it perfectly, and is an order of magnitude faster than Mozilla on my Ultra 10.
I still use Mozilla, though, for ethical reasons.

I bought this on eBay last week, and I've been pumping it non-stop. In fact, I'm pumping it right now. It's coming out Nov. 7 in the US, and is hot shit, like the old stuff, since it's from 1997. In fact, you can preorder it on cdnow, I believe.
Sorry dude, just read your info, and I guess you're not the goatse guy. It's too bad, really, because I wanted to ask him some questions about his technique.
Sting3r, as it has been told in the past, our friend who made the lovely picture at goatse.cx, went by the name of Sting3r. Are you the same Sting3r of goatse fame?

Ick. I'd hope that you could, at least, use Terminal Services. It's so much nicer. Don't know any way to get it from within Windows. Trying to access it violates some Windows lock file type of thing. I don't think it can be done.

Okay, you get/make a linux boot disk that has NTFS support, and support for your scsi controllers, if applicable. boot the computer from this disk, copy sam file to another floppy, reboot into windows, and enjoy your sam file.
If you go with Terminal Services, don't forget RDesktop. I found out about it here on slashdot, and it works so well, I hardly even use my KVM switch anymore. It's just faster to term into my Win2k server than press the button on my switch.
Know of any usenet servers that I could use to actually get that? I've never once had an ISP with a usenet feed, nor have I ever found a decent public one.
I've had great luck with the KT133a chipset. Just recently, I've built three systems based around that chipset. I'd recommend an Abit KT7A-raid or the IWill KK266r motherboard. Both are great performers, and since the raid versions aren't much more expensive, I'd get it. Both can be had for under $120 on pricewatch.
I disagree. I hacked together an access point out of a stolen, super small p133, and a $30 ISA->PCMCIA bridge, and a $150 100mW Cisco Aironet 352 card. It's fast enough for NAT and sshd and shit like that.

Hey, at least it wasn't a Windows98 binge.

Yeah, well, I did get first post, unlike you.
Let's give it up for the ass and titties.

I asked you before why your fs always appear as fF, and you never replied. I still want to know why.
It's fine as long as you don't have to return defective hardware. I've had a couple bad dealings, but I still buy all my shit off pricewatch anyway.
I recall reading that BeIA's cd player does that.
because netcat isn't a better program for doing such things...
How much for the 'station?
Why won't this post show up as a #1?
Heh, want to buy my HF rig? I don't know how to sell it.
Right on! I'm keeping my good old Palm III, and see no reason to buy a better one.
Nice job reposting from phrack, you nigger.

That's why one uses SSH2. Aside from that, thanks for the link. Looks k-l33t.
Dude, look on dealmac.com. I just picked up some 128MB 5v FPM DIMMS for $30 a piece. Work perfectly in my PTP 225.
