Take Reagan or Bush. Love them or hate them, they were leaders. Right or wrong, they got dam near anything they wanted. Obama needs to learn how to lead.

Thing is, refurbing an old building is generally cheaper than even a run down strip mall. You'd be hard pressed to find one that rents for under 2 or 3k a month. That's why most chains go so far as to build their own new buildings. The mortgage is less than the rent they would pay. And if it doesn't work out they can sell the building.

    Insert period here.

The US really has no choice but to go after him. It's their law. And the law in virtually every other country on the planet. He just happened to release docs from the USA.

As far as what he released... the majority being personal opinions like "this guy is stupid" that guys fat, this one smells funny... Gimme a break. That's human nature. Yes we let it rot. But only because we didn't need it. And IMHO, still don't unless we are trying to keep up with the joneses. Even tho we arguably passed them by transportation wise decades ago.

From what I understand it won't be cheaper than flying nor quicker. (I sure can't argue with more comfortable tho!)

Remember, this is a young country. Way back when, rare was the person who traveled more than 100 feet from their house. :) When we started to build rail systems some fool came along and invented the car. Then we spent more on roads than rail. Then another idiot came along and invented the "aeroplane". We invested in airports.

So as far as hi speed rail... really depends on where it's set up and cost. A fun vacation? Sure. Unless you want to get there as fast as you can to enjoy your destination. For business... time is money.

There's at least one airport in virtually every major city and a pile of smaller airports in between them. Some smaller European countries may only have major airport one in the whole country. Rail works for them. And they're more used to mass transportation since they didn't have the luxury of auto's back when it all started.

Half the time you'll come up with prices lower than amazon. Of course you have to consider the company, return policy etc., but more often than not I don't buy at amazon like I used to anymore. Too many better deals elsewhere. Especially since there are so many 3rd parties on their site anymore. You really have to pay close attention to where it's coming from.

Besides, they don't take paypal. ;)

Yeah, looks like it sucks to me as well. But remember there is no more home version and the pro version is going to be a $49 upgrade. Sure, business won't want it but then again they usually don't jump on the band wagon right out of the gate anyway. By the time they're ready most of their users will already be used to it.

Seems to me it's a Steve Jobs ploy. Give a pile of machines to schools and when the students get out they'll buy macs. Simply because they have no clue how to run a pc.

And FWIW, Metro was it's code name, remember? For windows 8? There was never any windows gui that didn't have a code name. So I've no idea why everyone is still throwing it out there. Once it's released it's code name dies.
