Well, being into computers for at least 20 years my wife likes it over win 7. Took a while to rip the gui apart but it seems to work well for her.
As far as me... well the MS compatibility tester prog says there's about a dozen or more legacy progs I depend on that aren't compatible. So it'll probably cost me at least $500 to upgrade them. And there are some that'll just die. Seems like it's getting more and more like the mac. Upgrade the OS you have to upgrade some programs. Want to upgrade some programs, you have to update the OS. So I'm at a catch-22 with it.
Just because it's cloudy doesn't mean they stop working. Just don't work as efficiently as with full sun. But they don't shut down totally on a cloudy day.
IMHO... yeah. CERTAINLY over hyped. The vast majority of college age kids have no clue whatsoever about what they'd like to do for the rest of their lives. They go to college because... everybody is going to college.
If you know what you're interested in "AND" you need college to get a degree in it, go for it. But if you haven't a clue, what are you thinking?
If you like to drive truck, work with your hands, tear engines apart, work with plumbing, etc. etc. etc. you'll never be happy in any other field. Maybe a trade school would work for you. Or just an apprenticeship with someone you know. And if you're good at it you'll likely make more than the vast majority of college grads and be happy for the rest of your life.
Depends on your gender. Women "generally" seem to think that love and sex go together. To men they are positively, absolutely two totally different things. Not even closely related.
Never grasped the concept behind this ruling. IE is essentially integrated into the OS. It's free. There are tons of free browsers out there.
On the other hand, outlook, the email prog that hackers love, stays and no one even mentions it. Even tho there's a bunch of not free email progs out there that have to compete.
I doubt it's really hard for a 3 year old since he has no experience with how it "used" to work for like 20 years now. Problem is, those with experience have to learn a whole new way of working with a PC.
Actually it was because Jobs was a marketing genius. (Yes I've owned some of their products) Never understood their popularity. IMHO, mediocre products at ridiculous prices. But his sales pitches were brilliant. We'll just have to wait and see how they'll get along without him. Personally I wouldn't buy stock in the company now.
Umm... 2 party system? USA has about 30 parties. Problem is only the two have pockets deep enough to pretty much block everyone else. The lobbyists need control.
On the other hand, if they were smart they would have created the whole set in the holodeck to begin with. Then they wouldn't have the problem of where to shove all this crap.
I'm still trying to figger out a use for a drive so small. Even a 250g main drive is kinda pushing it for space.

Of course the cops feared for their lives. You'd have to be insane to buy that many iphones. Deadly force would be warranted.
Jobs is gone. He was a marketing genius. He created it, he brought it back to life. He's gone. Could be apple is too.
While it's true that you can warm small pets, the problem is that you can only do it once.
If we stop throwing out $165 billion a year the food industry will suffer and we'll end up paying $165 billion for a loaf of bread. Can't win.

Only $500 each but guaranteed to last 500 years. Even tho in reality hold up for about 15 minutes. Here we go again.
No paypal = no sale.
If I had my druthers, I'd go for LLL remake by Al Lowe...

What goes around comes around. :)
Looks like they're taking some lessons from apple. That's kinda sad.

Good ol' fox snooze. She was his biographer but she is also in the military. Which makes her a subordinate.
Wasn't my point. Still doesn't explain outlook. The one the killed off paid email progs.
Some states do require tax on shipping fees. I know PA does.
See, the thing most miss is that when higher incomes had higher taxes they'd have to look for tax breaks by hiring, diversifying, expanding, whatever.
With taxes low they can just invest in the stock market. Less aggravation, likely higher (and lower taxaable) income.
So, the markets bloom, they get richer with no aggravation with hiring, firing, building costs, overhead, etc. While the average guy starves.
Ok, so you sell it for less if the people can't afford it. But if they can afford it you sell it for more. Why does that sound like price gouging?
They can, just don't want to. Just like tablets, phones etc. could be a lot cheaper, they are selling now so why cut price?
