There are serious outcome changing nuances to nearly every hand that spit in the face of rationality. You will not come out ahead playing rationally. There are no books about rational play.

How to play tournament poker changes how far along you are. Your position at the table changes what hands you can play.

I'll play any rational player anytime. Being predictable like that is a serious handicap. You may know how to play, you may be rational, but you are clearly not an experienced player. Poker is not about calling every hand with your buddies for $2. It's not about the last tables at televised events. The greatest players don't break even in the long run because they're so rational.

If I pick any 3 points, anywhere, a straight line between them is straight, not curved along a surface. The shortest distance between 2 points is never a curved line, unless you have a distorted view. It is not a triangle. Drawing on the curve of a ball or the earth is drawing a curve. Why is that so hard?

Consider, for example a triangle with one vertex at the N pole, and two 90 degrees apart on the equator...

This is a false example. You described your triangle by 3 points; you therefore describe a triangle containing a cross-section of earth. 180 degrees. Instead of 'triangle,' you have described '1/8 the surface area of a sphere.'

A triangle can be described by any 3 non-linear points or the bounded area of any 3 non-parallel lines in the same plane. Please note that lines are straight. A triangle on a curved plane is simply a shape formerly known as triangle. Given any triangle, it is an injustice to describe it as the pole and 2 spots on the equator of a sphere.

You should try to clear your misconceptions about gambling. Look up the mathematical odds of the games out there. We're not talking about a lottery here. There are games of chance, sure, and there are games with a large house advantage. People participate willingly, under the correct notion that they have a chance of winning.

If you learn when to hit, stay, double or split properly, the house only has a 0.5% edge on you in BlackJack. That's a 49.5% chance of being ahead if you play well. If you lose, you still got to have fun! Those odds are better to me than if I'm going to like the movie I go to see.

Online Poker tournaments give you more money than you spend if you come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd at a table of 9 or 10. If you know your game, especially with the lot of new players there are, you will win.

You're bitter about something you don't have to involve yourself in. You don't like it and want to take it away from me?! That's so very wrong.

I've gambled in NV, NJ, OK, LA, NM, MS, MT and CO, and we're not talking lottery tickets. A google for state legal casino gambling will help.

The federal gov't will not specifically disallow online gambling, as gambling is already legal in certain states and areas. Why would the US try to prohibit how a wager is made in Nevada? It's up to that area's gaming board or council.

If the US makes online gambling legal throughout, it will be the states' laws that govern its citizens. What state laws would be overturned? None. If it is illegal to gamble in Alaska, Alaska can enact a 'no online gambling' law at their discretion. Making something legal federally doesn't make it a local mandate.

Did you read the parent and grandparent posts? Of course they can be accurately modeled; the center of gravity of the planet and its moons are considered. The parent post was giving its parent a reason why his particular definition of planet wouldn't work.

Who would model the earth/moon without lunar gravity? That was never suggested. Infamous three body system? That was never suggested either. With the [earth/moon]'s center of gravity barely falling within the earth's crust, the parent suggests that a system with another similar moon would put the center of gravity outside of the solid planet.
