    Actually it is. "Dayton's (OH) rock station," 104.7 WTUE

    But when TUE was bought out by ClearChannel in 1999 they kept the same callsign, format and DJs.

    So what happens to this thing when you've got six lanes of traffic inching by, and they're all listening to different things?
    The billboard sees all the signals coming from radios and bases its ad on the most common signal.

    If you live near one of said billboards, mod a radio in your house to emit a very strong signal and leave it on all day.

    My car doesn't have a CD player. And don't tell me I can buy one of those little cassettes with a wire that goes to your CD player--I wouldn't have anything to put the cassette in. I'm also cheap, so I'm stuck with the radio. Also, I've never won Aerosmith tickets from a CD I've bought.

    Some stations are worse than others. The station I listen to seems to repeat songs pretty rarely.

    Well, when EULAs don't make sense they shouldn't be enforceable. If the EULA is like the GPL, LGPL or MPL licenses, then I wholeheartedly agree to them.

    Possibly, but I believe SF only allows FSF-approved licenses, and I doubt this type of licensing will gain FSF approval, but that's not my decision. If this is approved or SF makes a slight policy change, then I assume they will implement that.

    Well, it'd probably be in the EULA that the company *must* release the source after x dollars have been made. Otherwise people wouldn't really believe it. If you paid and the company doesn't release the source when specified, then you can sue.

    No, you don't. The default is for Windows to automatically update itself. At least, with XP Home and Pro.

    I don't think it was about urban v. rural--when the constitution was drafted, the founding fathers realized that there was no /., so people had no way of finding news about things on the other side of the country, and thus might be ill-informed.
