Am I justifying an action if I try to understand the reasons behind it? NO. However if you wish to prevent a repeat of said action you have two choices: 1. change the reason it was perpetrated 2. attempt to stop future occurences.

I have a DUTY as a citizen to criticize my government when it oversteps the checks and balances put in place against it!
I don't want america to play global cop, nor do I want it to send aid PERIOD. If I feel like sending aid I will do so ON MY OWN!!!!!
Perhaps the reason the Towers were taken out has something to do with the obsession America has these days with sticking its nose into EVERY issue/government/resource in the world with little thought or care given to how the indigenous people feel about it........

I believe the number quoted was somewhere between 100,000 to 150,000 years from now.....

I started in the field doing consulting, and since I moved to full time, both places I have worked at pretty much burnt me out in four years (each that is.) If you truly do treat your people the way you state, then VERY BIG KUDOS to you sir!

In the US, the FBI started watching, taking pictures and keeping a file on the SCA for godsakes! For those who don't know, these are the re-inactment types who dress in armor and play at knighthood.
Why watch them you ask? Apparently because they had a "king" and so might wish to topple the government for a monarchy.
But what you said is true, you will probably never get touched as long as you STAY WITHIN the approved thought/consumption patterns and do nothing to attract attention.

if your community is small, they won't upgrade
the equip until they have to.
Their current thinking goes like this :
1. Small community - hey we can make a killing
providing T-1's cause they have no other access.
2. DSL? If we do that, all our gravy from business
service goes away, AND we make a lot less per pair
due to the customer service issues etc. Not to mention bandwidth congestion on their backbone.
So If you were a bell, and could charge 1,200 a month to a few businesses, or spend a good chunk of change to upgrade the CO's and then only get
35.00 a month which would you choose?
The ONLY way a CLEC will upgrade their CO's in a small town or any other place, is when the bandwidth cat is out of the bag and someone else starts reaping the $$$......
