    The issue with GPLv3 was that it would have rendered the Linux kernel toxic. It would have precluded its use in embedded devices, appliances, set top boxes etc.

    it would have been nigh on impossible to do anyway given all the contributions by individuals and companies.

    Ancient history now, but RMS once demanded that Linux be put under FSF control (or else!), and that's probably the cause of Linus' dislike of them.

    I have 2 working N900's (and one with "no telephony functions").

    (And one N9 that i tried for a while then gave to my daughter, who loves it. And one Jolla which arrived today. And one pre-order for a Neo900. Am I mad? Probably).

    Get a Nexus 4 or 5 and flash it with an open ROM if you're dead set against Google.

    You're right, I've been meaning to get around to packaging and releasing it, with a comparison with fdupes.

    I very much doubt the judge was bribed - if he was it should be pretty easy to show and he, along with many EA execs would go to jail.

    But the fun part of our modern fedual system is that the rich don't need to bribe their lackeys. Due to the wonders of the right wing authoritarian mindset the lackeys will do the right thing, even when they gain nothing. Even when it costs them something.

    Automatic GPU switching

    Linux 3.12 added infrastructure support for automatic GPU switching in laptops with dual GPUs. This release adds support for this feature in AMD Radeon hardware.

    (It already "works" but plug/unplug needs a lot of manual fucking around.

    Or does it need more work in X?
