    HTML5 apps on the iPhone can tie into system APIs, though not all of them. There's nothing preventing RIM from allowing the same.

    I've been using a 13" Macbook since 2005. I've been using it since 2008 (first release of the iPhoneOS SDK) to do iPhoneOS (now iOS) development. I love larger screens, but I find my Macbook perfectly usable.

    All you have to do is turn warnings to errors and it will be a compiler-time error. And the kinds of programmers that release an app with warnings is the kind that's going to screw something else up anyway.

    I do my development on a 7 year old Macbook (not pro). It has 3.2 GB of usable RAM (4GB installed). I own a first-generation iPod Touch and iPad 1. If this were my business, I'd buy better (newer) hardware, but that would really just be gravy.

    I fail to understand how the first-sale doctrine does not apply just because the first sale was outside the US. I would understand completely if ICE was coming after him for not paying duties or tariffs, but what does copyright have to do with anything here? He didn't make copies. He simply resold books the publisher was already paid for.

    Your statements make no sense.

    In peering agreements, the side which is sending traffic has to account for the balance. Here, Comcast is receiving traffic (from Netflix) from an outside network. They are creating a balance surplus on the Comcast side of the peering, which means that Comcast can send more data out-of-network without invoking any financial remuneration specified in the agreement.

    Blizzard includes the opengl renderer on Windows because it's free, not because it's better. It's not even as good. And they don't support it. Try reporting graphics problems with OpenGL on Windows and they will tell you to stop doing that and to go away.
