I find it revealing that the "was this review helpful" counter is near 700, when the other reviews have a count below 10... I, for one, clicked on it, in a futile attempt to teach that hotel about the Streisand effect and how not to treat customers. The hotel didn't even bother to reply to the review...

It is clear that mandatory helmets makes bikesharing much less popular. Check what happened in Melbourne. Other places are looking into changing laws for this reason in particular, e.g. http://www.ibiketo.ca/blog/helmets-may-protect-your-head-mandatory-helmet-laws-will-likely-make-cyclists-less-safe
If you've never seen the impact of bikesharing on a city, you should visit Paris or here in Montreal; the number of bikes you see in downtown is quite impressive.

He's suggesting using the Java virtual machine, not programming in Java. Ruby's current implementation is notoriously slow, although this is resolved with the latest version of ruby (with the production version just around the corner)
Actually you can do better than that. At the very end of a game of go, many areas are completely disconnected from the others. It is then possible to assign a mathematical value to them using game theory; see Berlekamp's work
I pay _everything_ I can with my CC. This way it's easy to know where my money went at the end of the year (no ATM fees, plus 1% cashback:-). I believe that people would spend less if they knew where they spend their money.

Why in the world aren't they auctionning those tickets? In an efficient market, she would get a major premium wherever she goes. She can redistribute that money if she doesn't need it (to me, for instance, or any other charitable cause). Fact is, many people are making money by reselling these tickets. I've seen prices in the thousands online!
Just try it one evening with someone important: close MSN, and don't answer any phone. Maybe I'm just a dinosaur, with no cell and a habit of not answering the phone when in good company. Maybe the fact that I have multiple lovers has something to do with it too!
Just so you know, if you forget your wallet, you're responsible up to $50. Anything else above that is paid by Visa... I've had a CC switch before (was given back a card that wasn't mine but looked the same) and didn't notice it. Amex bothered charging me the $50...
Although many dSLR give you that option and 'fake' taking B&W pictures, that's not the way to go for professional B&W pictures. You take color pictures and then translate them to B&W, in particular using the channel mixer. The best translation is dependant on the picture itself, and it's so much easier to decide after the fact, in the digital darkroom, than while taking picture by putting on color filters that eat up a full stop or two...

The best way to remove luck and improve learning is to play duplicate instead. Letter scores don't need to be balanced.

Read your agreement. If you don't report your card stolen, you're liable to a maximum of $50.
