Ok, then try to stop all the breastfeeding in the US. That is 2 breasts in front of millions of children. Twice as bad. Just because you are uncomfortable because you have something better to do then explain to you child what a breast is (like drink beer and watch fat guys bump into each-other) doesn't mean that the child was uncomfortable.

There are a lot of French musicians who you probably won't ever have interest in but there are a few French Trance DJs who are quite popular in the US also.

  7. Re:what the heck is "society" freedom? on Apple Sued in France for iPod Music Royalties · · Score: 1

In this case, "they" are the french people, and the freedom they have is a collective freedom of buying blank CDs. The problem is that only the ones that really steal the music are the ones who have the advantage over everyone else. So the idea is that they are all trapped under everyone else yet together they are free. That's how modern socialist systems work and they work pretty well in some places but that doesn't make them fair.

As an example a french artist who records his own music will pay the extra tax to cover for the music that will be in the end stolen from him.

Apple gives you the web site where you can go and buy the music and its copyright. If you choose to steal the music it's you who are a criminal and not everybody else who uses the devices with legitmate reasons.

The law in France is dumb. Everyone pays for the ones that steal. It is a perfect example on how socialism is trying to fix society as a whole instead of the individuals who are detrimental to it.

GO APPLE! I hope they win the battle and don't have to pay.

  12. More money for the state on An Ignition Interlock In Every Car? · · Score: 1

If the driver fails a retest, the horn sounds and the lights flash until the car is turned off.

Sounds more like a way of increasing the state budget then making the streets safe. In Arizona, it is illegal to drive impaired. You get ticketed for both being impaired and being over .08 if you fail the Breathalyzer test.
There are studies that show the emotions you are affected with if you talk on a cell phones while driving are the same as being at a .08 BAC.
While I do agree that impaired driving is a problem, it's what the impaired driver does that causes accidents. Driving 30 miles over the speed limit, swerving really fast, going through red lights, and not having your lights on at night are the actions your car should turn itself off on unless you have a history of violations while impaired by alcohol.
