every manufacturer under the sun is the devil incarnate for not including drivers and support for linux (nevermind whether an economic proposition exists for supporting their products in linux),
but when it comes to patents, our beloved carmack should take a stand based on principle and
NOT SUPPORT HARDWARE?!?
heh. so no support for linux is heinous, but no support for everything is alright?
all this talk of human/dog/elephant/your favorite beast-shaped robots just over the horizon is confusing.
what's the advantage of being human/dog/elephant shaped (but 10 times heavier than a real one?) weight distribution and center of gravity issues could pose real problems to mobility.
can dogs carry more burden than trucks? tracked vehicles? or do these robotic dogs have dog-smell (spidey-sense-style) too?...just cut off their robotic noses and throw them into our tanks.
there's no benefit in restricting technology by forcing them to play by the rules and constraints of living, organic creatures.
in other words, robotic tanks have real function and purpose. robotic human-sized androids with superhuman strength wielding a 155mm howitzer fired via a finger trigger over one big crazy shoulder and aimed with a little scope on top => utterly senseless waste of money.
Each base pair can encapsulate a huge amount of information by virtue of its chemical properties. In other words, the virus DNA is only half of the picture; you have to look at the information encoded in whatever else it interacts with.
Take it to the extreme, and the email virus equivalent of this would be to wrap it's entire code into a system API call...which our virus simply calls.
1) there will be a 800 ton spherical mass damping system to minimize sway. between a restaurant level and an observation deck near the top, exposed for our viewing pleasure. i will most def. be there to see it..
2) fastest elevators in the world. upwards 60km/hr, downwards at 48km/hr. (any idea why down has a lower limit? safety?)
3) double deck elevators. i'd like to see neo break out of this one. a first too.
4) and by the way, 448m roof is > 447m roof of the sears tower. this is most definitely taller.
5) finally, i see the sears tower everyday. it's kinda ugly...pretty refreshing to see this bamboo-inspired design.
"This one is actually really worth a read to see just how bizarrely corrupt this all is. Enjoy."
thought only to be possible "once in a blue moon", by actually really reading the article cmdrtaco has proved us....well, right.
once in a blue moon, indeed.

top 10? with only 40b?
ebay
that's doubtful
microsoft
cisco
ibm
hp
dell
intel
oracle
sap
nokia
all above 40b, i'm sure.
so the original poster needed to choose a random, unrelated word to illustrate his point......
and promptly settled on
"sausage"...
i see, so that's how it works......;)
my world has just shattered around me.
but at least 2.54 is exact...
in any MMO game developer whose own web server is susceptible to the /. effect...
heh. yeah, cos managing your money most definitely generates more than $25mil in fees.
don't flatter yourself
from http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/qt-entangle/:
"David Deutsch first showed how to exploit quantum entanglement to perform a computational task that is impossible for a classical computer."
then again, you can't spell either.
/. that i'm desensitized..
ordinarily, i'd find that hilarious and call you trailer trash. but it happens so often on
GROUPIES.

But what about cash flow?
Of course you can blame the business model.
SCOX: litigation to intimidate and extort (versus...winning) = bad business model.
Uhm. How did Asia of ancient times eat noodles without chopsticks...?
Forks are an Italian invention - Marco Polo brought noodles back so they could develop spaghetti, but forgot the necessary eating utensils....
I'd hesitate before drawing on Ford as an example of a successful business model.
Capital-intensive, non-existent margins, and bleeding money all come to mind with any Detroit manufacturer...
In fact, the only division that is profitable in Ford is the car loan financing division. They don't make money from cars...
...of speeding in rural areas, anyway...
"Previously there had been resistance to freeing up 5.8GHz because it is in an area of the RF spectrum used by C-band radars."
influential youngster?
you mean impressionable...right?
so you won't get spoiled by autofocus and actually learn the camera.
fm10 has a good starter set.
This is a faulty comparison.

Take it to the extreme, and the email virus equivalent of this would be to wrap it's entire code into a system API call...which our virus simply calls.
So again, not a fair comparison.

as if nintendo is the only company based in japan.
what the fuck is sony then?
Is it just from margin of error in measurements?
Or are there variables that will affect the trajectory of the asteroid?
What I mean to ask is, are orbits static, or do they change based on, say the solar weather of the moment?
Fuck!!! Osama and his asteroid worshipping camel-sacrificers!
I had a physically dead drive...you know, the dreaded click of death.
Being pissed as I was, I opened up the damn thing and got ready to wreak havoc on the platters.
But I chickened out, (what kinda chemicals might that thing spew out?) and put the drive back together.
To my surprise, the drive worked again!
My room is was a nasty, dusty place too...so I bought a new drive, mirrored the old, and never used the fixed drive again.
I still have it in my house...an old Quantum 6 Gig drive.
Any ideas what was wrong, and how opening the sealed platter compartment might fix anything?
