I haven't RTFA in full, but I know that they get their compressors from a well known Danish company Danfoss making refrigerators, thermostats etc. IIRC one of the founders had worked at Danfoss at sometime. Seems to me that the author of the article tried to do some homework but missed the mark.
I can't see the series here, we haven't gotten further than Voyager. However, I would be more than happy to pay a subsciption and stream it from the internet. And if only that was possible, I think that many more would pay. But I do realise that it is not possible with the current biz model that TV runs on today.
Hey, winmail.dat is for everyone that does not run exchange. If you run Notes, you get them too. Leave it to Microsoft to use an existing standard and then changing it a bit, so to the normal user it would seem that it is their systems failing and not the sender.
If it the same OS as on my IPAQ (think it is called mobile 2003 se) then it would be far to unstable for use in a place like that. My IPAQ often freezes or gets very slow, I think I have to use the soft reset button at least once pr week. And while that might be fine for a personal device(pacemaker excluded), I don't think it would cut it in a enviroment where you can't expect the user to have any knowledge about these things.
Normally you can, some phones can be "locked" to a single provider if the phone is a part of a service plan(get phone for free if you subscribe for half a year). Like everything else this can be unlocked, either by using a code or cable(small independent shops will do this)
I have never discovered that I could not use my gsm card in a phone, and I have had the same number/GSM card since 1998.
I find the comment: "a pro-patent lobby group, said that the benefits of the bill had been obscured by special interest groups" very amusing. a special interest group, beaten by another special interest group.
Let's not forget what a "lobby group" is. It's group that were created for the single purpose of making sure the bill was passed, their tools are often obscuring the facts, "enlighting" party members, Microsoft style tactics, selective statistical data(numbers can't lie) etc. Normally if enough money are thown at these groups, they often succeed, but of course they a bit part of them winning are their ability to fly below the radar of the public.
The oscar shows are about the most boring I have ever seen, I have stayed up in the middle of the night twice to see the show live. The Oscar show are all about fashion, being seen and patting each others backs. If you are into gossip and following celebs, then the show are great but it has little value to people who are actually interested in movies. I'd like them to show the techical oscars too and the background behind it. But again, the show are not about the movies, it's all about the celebs and getting as much air time as possible. And then that oscar to help you boost your income in the future.
Yeah, you're right you know, I... [hang on just got a mail]... Well actually, I quickly disabled the email notification popup when I started the job I have now. I get around 50 mails every day of which only 20 of them, I need to read. I just could not see how my collegues can live with having a email window popping up and forcing you to click "OK" so you can get back to what you were doing 50 times during the day. And some of them even gets three times as many mails. (most of it spam)
No it is not. Sigh, this explains the strange "signals" I have gotten the last few days about migrating central systems at work to MS even though they have nothing to do with the problems they want to solve. To some, MS is the bible. To reuse a old sentence "You can't get fired for choosing Microsoft". There are tons of clueless managers that happily will "upgrade" working UNIX/mainframe systems to MS. And when the new system crumbles under the load, and doesn't deliver the rock solid performance of the old systems, the remaining UNIX/mainframe gets the blame instead of the new, MS based, systems lack of ability to communicate with these systems. No, don't blame the poorly designed connectivity of the new system. Blame the UNIX system for being UNIX.
They are also more than happy to buy products from companies that ties you to MS because they clearly could not develop their product properly so that fx. it could run on anything else than MS-SQL.
It is an uphill battle every day. I don't hate MS as such. I hate the entire culture surrounding them. There seems to be no lack of low quality developers in MS world. Most of them I wonder why they choose to work with computers since they have so little passion for what they do.
Medal of Honor, Call of Duty(activision) addons and expansions. Please DON'T make any more WW2 games until you got some truly new amazing technology to show. It has been done to death. If there only had been made one tenth of that in the Halflife universe, I'd be happy. Nothing wrong with making a game series, a interactive story, but I am sick and tired of WW2 weapons and storylines.
Having all those expantions with little new gameplay does not help building a solid server base on the internet for multiplayer action.
Unless you buy an online subscription, the news on the web is just headlines with little in depth material. Sadly many people today are quite happy with just the headlines. Makes me wonder what happes.
I have a Audiotron which runs Windows CE(or whatever it is called) and after sites have begun to use WMV9 for their radio streams, i have been unable to play most of them. And the few of them that does work, I can only play at a horrible rate.
So even with a device running Windows, you can't be sure that it will work.
time followed by the players leaving the field for 10 minutes of analyzing it by commentators,(or commercials if you are watching it on a free channel), in a never ending cycle. So the will make 90 minutes of play time get done in 90 minutes instead of 4 hours.
I must admit that I have gotten tons of spam, but never that much "porn spam", I suspect the people getting a lot of that have been putting their email adresses places where they shouldn't and not just have it harvested. But I might just be "lucky".

We don't have the money to keep photoshopping them out of the pictures. Those pesky aliens keeps showing up all the time.
they posted it twice!

Not that I hate America, but he really is a sucker for everything american. And a handpuppet of Bush.
He pretty much bends over without blinking so I am quite sure that he will go for the patent law and not against.

Nice job
anothe fine example of the power of bittorrent. :D

Good question, I have been looking for it as well. I guess it is around somewhere.
I have problems loading the page, so I wonder if the things it found were "just" cookies since the object count was so high.
