Did you know that in MOST states there is a "no vote" option. Go in. You just voted for no one, BUT you increased the number of voters to hit that booth. This is recorded and denotes a no vote.

We find out WHO submitted it to Linus et al. We do a back ground analysis of the person and see if they could have POSSIBLY come into contact with SCO source code. If they have then and ONLY then is that PROOF POSITIVE that SCO is correct. (repeat for all the "incidents" of SCO code "theft") Otherwise this is just a load of BS that most of us believe it to be...

I have owned several of both camps and will ALWAYS support nVidia when it comes to "who-supports-drivers". I have a machine that runs on an Athlon 1.2GHZ with an AIW Radeon. I have a slower machine that runs on a Geforce 2 MX.
Guess which one I use most often to play games...
The nVidia one. I hate dealing with the drivers and the Ati cards I have had NEVER seem to work "completely" with the games I like. You have NO IDEA what I had to go through to get the card (AIW Rad) to work with Homeworld and Cataclysm... (two games I was particularly enjoying:)
ONE! Ati does not deem it worth their while to update and enhance their drivers often TWO!! nVidia has a nice "All-in-ONE" driver for their cards that quickly and EASILY removes the old and installs the new. Ati has NEVER done this. Here are the steps I follow for installing/upgrading the AIW's drivers.
Uninstall old driver
Reboot (leads to crap view 640x480)
Install new driver (hope it works)
Reboot
If you want to upgrade the other pieces (DVD, Multimedia, etc..) you follow those four steps FOR EACH FREAKING ONE!!!
I am a developer I have created installers with everything from Install Shield 5.0 to Install Shield 8.0 (with MSI)... I cannot see how they could be so lame when thier competition OBVIOUSLY knows how to write an installer... THREE!!! I have tried this video card (AIW Rad) in multiple computers it NEVER completely plays well with others... It is ALWAYS bitchy!!! I attribute this to driver issues...

Until Ati gets their act together interms of drivers. I will NEVER buy one of their video cards again... I don't care if they are twice the speed of nVidia... I agree we are "getting" close. I just do not like seeing(reading) "we got it!!! we got it!!!" when in fact they don't. On top of this so many people that I have talked with (in the linux community) just don't "get it" that until we (linux users) can assimilate M$ data "perfectly" (99%) we cannot topple them. To many large companies have TOO much invested in the way they do biz. If there was an alternative that not only assimilated but installed and connected/integrated with Exchange without flaw it would be a no brainer as an IT person to just buy the "new" sytems with linux and ???Office installed. This would "slowly" phase out M$.
Believe me when I say that _when_ linux gets to that point I will be one of the loudest and devoted clerics.;)
Seriously though, I do not like M$ and I DETEST their open arrogance (we know what is best for you), but I have to admit I like Office.
StarOffice is already very cheap. I have it and have tried both (Star and Open).
They are still not sufficient to be comparable with M$ Office.
What the Linux community NEEDS to get in its (collective)head is that the desktop will STILL be RULED by M$ until XXXOffice (Open/Star/etc) has a Word package that COMPLETELY pulls in ALL M$ Word docs AND something that TRULY functions as M$ Outlook and can pull in PST files. Until this happens M$ will continue to RULE the desktop.
I do not like M$ any more than others BUT I have to use Outlook to function in ALL of the large corps I consult to. The inbox, calendar, and contacts are a formidable opponent. M$ Exchange means that a large multinational corp can have every office around the world connected with the same global address book and the ability to make scheduled meetings with EVERYONE in that company. IF "alternate Outlook" existed that connected to M$ Exchange and worked completely (schedule, contacts, email), I would be ALL over that in a heartbeat, AND I would sell it to ANYONE who would listen.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... WITHOUT something that can "BORG in" (assimilate) M$ DOCs, Outlook, and XLS there is NO CHANCE Linux will topple M$. The package does not even have to have "all" the capabilities as long as it can pull in the file (doc, pst, xls) not crash and have the file look "almost" exactly like it did in M$ Office and we have a chance for a REAL revolution on the desktop.
People seem to forget that the WAY to WIN is to ASSIMILATE. M$ proved that SO MANY times over. How did I get sucked into Outlook the first time before my Corporate experience? Fire up Outlook and it says "Hey I see you have a Netscape email account... Want me to pull that info into Outlook for you?" Sure I said just to see how effective it was and to my supprise is got everything without one error. So I used it for a couple of days... It out does ANY email system out there. The ONLY MAJOR caveat is the F*%king security problems and we ALL know about those. BUT, it is FAR more effective at email/scheduler/contacts controller than anything else.
I do understand what you are saying about the dogs I mentioned. I know alot about different breeds of dog. I just an not a big fan of the Daschund and the Chihuahua. Never have been. I know what their use was. I like the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Well, I like most of the Spaniels in general. Most of them are "bird dogs" and "lap dogs".
As for the breeding program of the slaves. It is a documented fact that black people (at the time slaves) were specifically breed large men with large women with the intent of making bigger and hopefully faster and stronger children. I know that it was not scientific, BUT there have been a few articles in the past 10 years about this topic. It is NOT a popular topic because of the nature of the subject. I feel uncomfortable about writing about it, but there is nothing I can do about the past.
It is my opinion and I agree with the articles that I have read about this subject that the breeding done to the then slaves has enhanced some of our athletes. I also feel that it is not a bad thing and that it should be something that men and women think about when they are looking at potential mates. I was thinking about it and dumped this one particular girlfriend for a number of emotional issues and because I did NOT want to have children with her. I was fearing that her partial blindness and hearing loss, which she was born with, would be passed on. I was also concerned about emotional instability. My wife is a very intelligent and staunchly independant. I love that about her. I am very happy to be having children with her. In fact, the "joke" in her family was to marry a tall man, because her family is generations of short.

You obviously do not have (or use) a variety of hardware configurations. (including AMD as well as Intel)
IF you did you would see problems, FREQUENTLY!!!
I have nothing BUT problems with Ati. As do ANY of my friends with Ati cards. ( we have ALL stopped using/buying Ati. There are about 30 of us)
The ONLY ones (Ati systems) that work are ones with Intel MB's, Intel CPU's and specific manufacturers that use them...

If I am not allowing 443 and 2002 (or what ever those to port numbers were) pass through my firewall doesn't that prevent it from transmitting itself to my machine?

I agree we are "getting" close. I just do not like seeing(reading) "we got it!!! we got it!!!" when in fact they don't. On top of this so many people that I have talked with (in the linux community) just don't "get it" that until we (linux users) can assimilate M$ data "perfectly" (99%) we cannot topple them. To many large companies have TOO much invested in the way they do biz. If there was an alternative that not only assimilated but installed and connected/integrated with Exchange without flaw it would be a no brainer as an IT person to just buy the "new" sytems with linux and ???Office installed. This would "slowly" phase out M$.
Believe me when I say that _when_ linux gets to that point I will be one of the loudest and devoted clerics. ;)
Seriously though, I do not like M$ and I DETEST their open arrogance (we know what is best for you), but I have to admit I like Office.

They are still not sufficient to be comparable with M$ Office.
What the Linux community NEEDS to get in its (collective)head is that the desktop will STILL be RULED by M$ until XXXOffice (Open/Star/etc) has a Word package that COMPLETELY pulls in ALL M$ Word docs AND something that TRULY functions as M$ Outlook and can pull in PST files. Until this happens M$ will continue to RULE the desktop.
I do not like M$ any more than others BUT I have to use Outlook to function in ALL of the large corps I consult to. The inbox, calendar, and contacts are a formidable opponent. M$ Exchange means that a large multinational corp can have every office around the world connected with the same global address book and the ability to make scheduled meetings with EVERYONE in that company. IF "alternate Outlook" existed that connected to M$ Exchange and worked completely (schedule, contacts, email), I would be ALL over that in a heartbeat, AND I would sell it to ANYONE who would listen.
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY... WITHOUT something that can "BORG in" (assimilate) M$ DOCs, Outlook, and XLS there is NO CHANCE Linux will topple M$. The package does not even have to have "all" the capabilities as long as it can pull in the file (doc, pst, xls) not crash and have the file look "almost" exactly like it did in M$ Office and we have a chance for a REAL revolution on the desktop.
People seem to forget that the WAY to WIN is to ASSIMILATE. M$ proved that SO MANY times over. How did I get sucked into Outlook the first time before my Corporate experience? Fire up Outlook and it says "Hey I see you have a Netscape email account... Want me to pull that info into Outlook for you?" Sure I said just to see how effective it was and to my supprise is got everything without one error. So I used it for a couple of days... It out does ANY email system out there. The ONLY MAJOR caveat is the F*%king security problems and we ALL know about those. BUT, it is FAR more effective at email/scheduler/contacts controller than anything else.

As for the breeding program of the slaves. It is a documented fact that black people (at the time slaves) were specifically breed large men with large women with the intent of making bigger and hopefully faster and stronger children. I know that it was not scientific, BUT there have been a few articles in the past 10 years about this topic. It is NOT a popular topic because of the nature of the subject. I feel uncomfortable about writing about it, but there is nothing I can do about the past.
It is my opinion and I agree with the articles that I have read about this subject that the breeding done to the then slaves has enhanced some of our athletes. I also feel that it is not a bad thing and that it should be something that men and women think about when they are looking at potential mates. I was thinking about it and dumped this one particular girlfriend for a number of emotional issues and because I did NOT want to have children with her. I was fearing that her partial blindness and hearing loss, which she was born with, would be passed on. I was also concerned about emotional instability. My wife is a very intelligent and staunchly independant. I love that about her. I am very happy to be having children with her. In fact, the "joke" in her family was to marry a tall man, because her family is generations of short.
