Many people would think that feeding corn to a cow in a feedlot is a despicable thing to do to an animal, just to get it grow to a size suitable for slaughter.
i'm one of them. cows aren't designed to eat corn. it screws up the pH of their gut, causing all manner of nasty ulcers etc. not to mention it creates a great breeding ground for e coli by making the system more alkaline. not to mention feedlot cows are packed in together and have little room to move, which also raises disease levels.
there's something deeply ironic about some dude taking another dude to task over his use of an overused worn-out dig by dragging out an overused, worn-out insult.

Why? An officer that's shown to abuse people can't keep his job unless an elected official/body allows him/her to. There isn't a law enforcement officer of any type, working at any level in the US that doesn't answer to elected civilians.
and there isn't an elected civilain in the US that wants to look 'soft on crime' by firing a cop based solely on the word of someone without a mark on them.
Just like any undertaking, you don't go in to it acting like an oblivious idiot, you never run in to trouble.
i'd agree with that assessment if there weren't a million drivers in new york that can easily kill you when you're even at your *most* observant. even great riders get clocked in this town. it isn't hard, cabs, buses and regular drivers don't look out for shit.
every day i see at least one cyclist come this close to getting creamed on the street in front of my apartment in brooklyn. you couldn't pay me to commute on a bicycle in this town.
It's not her job to play Twenty Questions, or Detective, or engage in religious profiling. Apparently the girl is from a "mostly Jewish" neighborhood, and while Jewish law prohibits desecration of a dead body, that does not mean someone from a "mostly Jewish" town WOULDN'T be an organ donor. Maybe their parents were Jewish, and they're agnostic, for fuck's sake. Why should someone have to explain all that to get a beer?
actually, most rabbinical authorities are totally cool with organ donation anyways as saving a life is a bigger mitzvah than avoiding 'desecrating' a dead body.
