Unfortunately, no, but I did read a link on Blizzard's support section last week where they detail to the end-user what files must be copied from the disc onto the hard drive before the game will function. It's legit.
It *does* speech recognition. Perhaps the article wasn't clear on that. I can assure you, as owner of two generations of this hardware, that it does limited speech recognition.
They've gone through a couple hardware revisions over the years; truth be told this product is really 4-5 years old. It's main claim to fame is a speaker can speak natively into the microphone, and the program *should* spit back English. Should is the operative word there.
Oh my goodness you just brought back some memories of mine that I'd rather forget. That fucking window resize bug! When I used 4.x I was still a wet-behind-the-ears kid with no clue about tech, and yet I knew that couldn't be right, even back then.
Interesting. Eye for an eye was actually a way of saying punishment should fit the crime. That is, if a person takes your eye, the punishment for that person shall be no more and no less than one eye. Or paraphrased to modern times, no post-facto sentencing.
What do people suggest I do with the IP addresses of hosts doing the scanning ? Is it worth checking the whois information and contacting the sys admin or abuse email address if there is one ? I know vigilantism is generally frowned-upon here, but it finally seems this is a worthy cause. Seriously. What if "we" just fought back?

Please, no. We don't need another Endless September. The last one just ended only 1 2/3 years ago. Me too!
I suspect this requirements push is again solely due to video cards. The 800 MHz iMac G4 had a GeForce2MX; yikes. The first major push was to kill the G3 so OpenGL could use vector libraries, now they probably want to ensure the equivalent of 'DirectX 8+' for Leopard. So in theory, if you have a GeForce 5xxx in an 800 MHz G4 tower, you should still be able to run Leopard.
So no one's figured it out yet? How MS will still keep DX10 Vista-only but (possibly) appease the people? DirectX 9.0d for Windows XP, includes compatibility with your DirectX 10 card. They've had no problem so far extending 9 out three times; keep in mind a DirectX 9.0 card is hardly the same as a 9.0c card. They slap some of the stuff from 10 into this 9.0d driver, but leave out a couple nice little things to push their adoption further. We'll see I guess.
Hmm. The top of my Comcast page has a HUGE banner ad reading ""Add the ease and convenience of Comcast Search to your Firefox browser!" If anything, this is yet another case of two business segments fucking with each other.
Moreover, it seems LLVM may have been used to build iPhone binaries. At least, the group at the forefront has now gone straight for LLVM themselves since they seem to support ARM Mach-O binaries *somehow* already... hmmm
anyhow those design patents have been out there for a long time. SO some ones discovering them does not make it news or mean there's a new product.
True, but just the same, the "Stacks" patent application was in 2002 or 2003... such that rumor sites at the time guessed that Mac OS X 10.3 would include such functionality. Yet it did not, nor did it exist in 10.4, but it *is* included in 10.5. I think things like this (a few years before retail implementation) is what makes people play the guessing game with Apple patents.
Sorry, on The Sopranos it's always eggs that indicate death. Funny enough, egg substitute often means 'extreme injury' (see Tony's girlfriend catching fire in Season 6).
So a poorly-ventilated apartment (clearly the fault of the super) means everyone should stop smoking? Welcome to the slippery slope.

That moment cemented my belief in-game that the bitch must die. GLaDOS, that is.
"Remember when I tried to kill you?"

I can't believe no one has mentioned "Spam Spam Spam Iolo" yet! (Yes, you need to be a Ultima6 player to understand that)
Seconded.
My sincere apologies for "dontdoubleclickmebro"; though I'm happy the trend took off.
With a username containing "Eunuch", does it really matter?

Or try "rmdir /s " to nuke the entire directory and all subdirs.

I certainly don't have the guts to try out the new firewire code in 2.6.22
YMMV of course, but when I tried the new 1394 code it sent my kernel down in flames. I therefore advise avoiding it.
Yes, indeed, Window Maker. I've been using it since 200.
Good lord! 1800 years' worth of testing can't be wrong.
But I do agree; Window Maker rules.

...oh crap, forgot to Anonymous this thing!
'We pwned Phil'?
