    The blurb you make insinuates that they "caved in" when in fact one of the bloggers gave up their laptop so in all likelihood they got the info they wanted off that laptop and that's why they dropped the subpoena.

    It's one thing to claim shrinkage of sea ice, it's quite another to PROVE that Man's emissions of CO2 is what caused it and not normal climate change via the sun and thousands of other factors.

    I'm still waiting for someone to prove that it was CO2.

    If I remember correctly ALL the emails were released in their ENTIRETY. The hackers or leakers have not been found or identified as of yet so blaming the Russians is a bit premature don't you think?

    The real point is being overlooked here. The unnamed author puts forth 2 claims.

    1. Those without PhD's cannot prove to him/her that the data was manipulated. The "I'm smarter than you argument".

    2. If it's not "peer reviewed" then I'm not listening. The "Convince my friends first argument".

    We'll start with number 2.

    Peer review is meaningless when the emails SHOW that the peer review process is tainted by scientists eager to exclude those who do not share the same conclusions from reviewing their data.

    The first argument can be dismissed entirely due to the fact that the knowledge of a subject is irrelevant if the process of reviewing the data has been corrupted by Scientists eager to get the next grant for their research. Scientists live on grants. The Universities that employ scientists also live on those grants and your tenure with those schools is directly related to the amount of grant money you bring in. Those that follow the government line get grants. Those who don't are denied grants. Therefore any conclusion against AGW results in a lack of grants which results in a loss of work from the University. Scientists know how to cover their ass.

    In closing, knowledge restrained by job security is not knowledge, it's propaganda. Fixed peer review is worthless.

    I agree. Who needs those pesky internet people giving their opinions. We need to shut down those blogs too, after all, they haven't been qualified as experts. While we're at it lets eliminate any and all websites except those by the "experts". Who wants to see Billy Jo Bob's website anyhow? We can also eliminate any form of chatting unless there's an professional moderating the chat to tell us how to speak to each other. I think maybe we shouldn't even leave our houses unless there is an expert to hold our hand and tell us when it's safe to cross the street.

That is the population of the earth. so if 5,149 people ON THE EARTH have died from swine flu then that's 1 out of every 1.31 million people ON THE EARTH that will die. Since the "authorities" want ALL PEOPLE ON THE EARTH to get the vaccine then the numbers become relevant. Maybe there's a vaccine for xenophobia you can try.

    The worldwide number of H1N1 Swine Flu deaths totals 5,149 people as of 11:35PM EST 10-10-09.

    The Worldwide population count is 6,789,710,547.

    This means that only 1 person dies from Swine Flu out of every 1,318,646 people.

    The general consensus in this thread from what I have seen is that they think every 1,318,646 people should get injected with a potentially life threatening vaccine in order to MAYBE protect that 1 person.

    Are you shitting me? You won't be giving ME any flu jab.
