  1. let me explain this on 'First, Let's Get Rid of All the Bosses' -- the Zappos Management Experiment · · Score: 1

You get a group of 12 people in a sub-department. The type A leadership types naturally take over decision management and keeping the group on task. They don't get paid any more for doing a manager level work. Wow, what a smart concept!

  2. So arm up some guys with dart guns and run around shooting stray cats. Obviously they would get shirts that say "professional pussy hunter." You can actually get those on ebay already.

But seriously, that evidence is really weak. Why not wait for the analysis of cut marks? That's the really strong indicator. They wrote this way too early and rushed it out...kind of like Avatar.

  4. Just how stupid are British officials that they can't see the obvious route is to sue and fine the company directly for false advertising? Really? It's easier to have individuals sue them one at a time, likely for the purchase price of a video game? That's a glorified return policy, not a solution and not enough of a punishment. They have Peter Molyneux over in England. They should be very familiar with the problem solely because of him. Do something real about it!

  5. Here's my response on We Asked Doc Searls: Do Ad Blockers Cause Cancer? (Video) · · Score: 1

On 3 different computers, 85% of the time on a non-computer related video there was an ad for a Windows 10 driver update tool aka complete and utter malware. Google allows and completely supports this. If you type "HP support" or "Sony support" or "Samsung support" or "dell support" into Google, you get paid ads for scam services in India who are pretending to be the company and then ripping people off. So fuck internet advertising. It's useless, abused garbage and nobody is ever going to do anything to clear it up. I'm going to keep blocking ads until the end of time. You ruined it for your industry.

My new retail and computer repair shop that I started is doubling its gross every year and now I'm killing off most expansion expenses and moved to a cheaper spot and quit my other job as head IT manager at another company. So in 2 years I will likely be making $50,000+. For my area (remember to adjust for not living in some overpriced hellhole like New York) that's really good. You can get a 2000 sq ft house here for about $150,000.

That's all anyone on the internet really wants. It would be the end of stupid, gimmicky, trying to hard marketing campaigns created by 20-somethings with a 2 year degree in marketing that some idiotic corporation hires to drum up pretend interest in their product lines. 22. Here's my review on Alienware's X51 R3, Revamped With Skylake and Maxwell, Tested and Torn Down · · Score: 1

I have a slightly earlier X51 alienware desktop sitting in my repair shop right now. Why? Because it came with a severely damaged image from Dell. It's an overheating piece of crap that hits 81C GPU temp on a furmark test. There's no room for any upgrades, they're difficult to service, and cooling is a joke. They basically use enclosed pressure vented cooling from an all aluminum low profile CPU cooler. It's a stock intel cooler fan too so you can kiss that goodbye after all that back pressure. Overall it's an unimpressive, low performance piece of crap loaded with Dell bloatware that costs too much, can't be serviced with normal parts, and contains really bad brands of hardware. Anyone who buys Alienware these days is a complete idiot.
