1. Apple maps is a joke and completely useless
2. considering how many people hate Apple, they're losing prospective customers for a $60,000 car for example because of one tiny feature.
This is going to bomb harder than any product I can think of recently.
I'm 205 pounds and not amazingly athletics. I can ride a mountain bike at a brisk pace for 10 miles without even sweating. Why oh why would people hop on a bike and be too lazy to pedal?
"The patent office doesn't want to be embarrassed that they might issue a broad patent that would have a sweeping impact on the technology sector."
Unless you're Apple. Then they're like "ROUND CORNERS? ARE YOU A WIZARD?" *granted*
This is really simple. If you have a smartfridge, don't install Android or Windows on it. Make it a device that would barely qualify as an ASIC that only does what it does. When was the last time someone said their handheld calculator got hacked? If all you need to do is list an inventory of things in your fridge and set temperatures of drawers, make an electronic device that does that and only that. DO NOT just use a pre-existing platform because it's easier. It's a guaranteed way to get hacked.
Wow, she's an idiot. If you go to Vegas and say you're interested in gambling, you're all set. If you get to inner city New Jersey and say you're interested in gambling, you're not going to get quite the same quality of gambling establishments interested in your patronage. In related news, don't try to get into modeling anywhere on the entire internet.
I'd say a "we won, SUCK IT!" Kathy Griffin style Facebook post is worth $35-40,000 tops. That's just not a wise financial move blowing $80,000 on it, lol.
Omegle does the exact same thing but solely for moderation purposes (they claim). They take a screenshot every few minutes of every user and then anyone caught being a perv is forced to moderate like 500 of these random screenshots to get their IP address unbanned. Those people catch maybe 5 more people who are all forced to moderate 500 more and tada, free 100% moderation without paying staff.
Someone in England covered a speed trap camera with a burlap bag, set it on fire, and police are saying it was likely on purpose (lol). A LOT of people in England walk around with their face obscured by a handkerchief to protest CC TV camera. A ton of those cameras have been vandalized or destroyed.
So back in Freedom Land aka the US, you walk into a bar with a head mounted video device and OMG SHOCKING someone takes issue with it. Wow, no precedent for that! Except for...all the precedent.
It's called "encapsulation." Lol, just kidding. All programmers should know what every single line of code specifically does or you end up with crap software with unsolvable glitches.
I worked an awful job for more money and now I work a great job for slightly less money. I prefer the job I have now. So I'd say the additional money and benefits aren't worth working at a worse job unless of course you were an idiot and got a mortgage for 54.9999% of your annual income.
This isn't MTGox's fault, bitcoin's fault, or anything else you're probably thinking. The originator of this problem is the fact that open source coders did a crap job again. The volunteers who wrote the major exchange bitcoin base code left in a HUGE vulnerability that was so blatantly obvious, a kindergartner could have spotted it. Don't use non-unique values for a transaction ID in a financial system! Welcome to database coding 101. It was careless and not reviewed just like a bunch of other open source code.
So never forget that MTGox was killed by careless open source programming volunteers.
Since it's San Francisco, the planners probably think the nuclear radiation will help their quantum auras if they wave around new age crystals and hang them from the mirrors of their Toyota Priuses.

"One of the group's former members had just sold their company for $19 billion dollars." :-P
Orly? Which one was it?
CPU microcode :-P

"Drivers will be able to use Apple Maps as in-car navigation"
And why the hell would anyone want to do that?
The one and only definition I know for the word spooks is an offensive, racist term for black people. What exactly are they using it for?
How is the chip open source if you need a multi-billion dollar plant to make computer processors of any kind?
That's odd because not having people IM me all day makes my life easier. In fact, I don't actually have a Facebook account.

And nobody has complained about it yet.
If you try to film me in public without my permission and I find out, I'll quickdraw you while you're checking your twitter feed.

Time to run all the acronyms, idioms, and misspellings through Google Translate. That will make the language police happy I'm sure.
By the way, WE NEED THIS LAW in the southern US!

Speaking of that, why was the game pulled?
That's absurd. I'd hear your obnoxious hippie music from the stereo first.
Anyone who would see it as a privacy concern would not use Facebook in the first place. The only users left at this point are a bit more clueless.

Wait, wait, wait...
1. Be anti-censorship and control
2. Have Ubisoft make your game
I take it EA Games was busy that day? What the actual fuck were they thinking?

Waiting for the libertarians here to demonstrate why this shows how Bitcoin is such a wonderful idea.
You're right. US Dollars never get stolen.
