    1. Apple maps is a joke and completely useless
    2. considering how many people hate Apple, they're losing prospective customers for a $60,000 car for example because of one tiny feature.

This is going to bomb harder than any product I can think of recently.

This is really simple. If you have a smartfridge, don't install Android or Windows on it. Make it a device that would barely qualify as an ASIC that only does what it does. When was the last time someone said their handheld calculator got hacked? If all you need to do is list an inventory of things in your fridge and set temperatures of drawers, make an electronic device that does that and only that. DO NOT just use a pre-existing platform because it's easier. It's a guaranteed way to get hacked.

In related news, don't try to get into modeling anywhere on the entire internet.

Those people catch maybe 5 more people who are all forced to moderate 500 more and tada, free 100% moderation without paying staff.

So back in Freedom Land aka the US, you walk into a bar with a head mounted video device and OMG SHOCKING someone takes issue with it. Wow, no precedent for that! Except for...all the precedent.

This isn't MTGox's fault, bitcoin's fault, or anything else you're probably thinking. The originator of this problem is the fact that open source coders did a crap job again. The volunteers who wrote the major exchange bitcoin base code left in a HUGE vulnerability that was so blatantly obvious, a kindergartner could have spotted it. Don't use non-unique values for a transaction ID in a financial system! Welcome to database coding 101. It was careless and not reviewed just like a bunch of other open source code.
