Further, the design assumes a middle mouse button, and middle mouse buttons are falling out of favor (because there are already 101 buttons on the keyboard, so why add yet more to the mouse). The keyboard equivs for the 3rd mouse button are horrendus if you don't have a middle button.
I've been working at my current place of employment for 3 years. It wasn't until we just switched over to a new collections/order entry system (which btw, runs on Linux) that anyone became concerned about preventing unwanted access. Of course, the older system was based on DOS (eech!) and so security is/was not a consideration.
Acutally, I am a parent. I also firmly believe in the fact that my children are my responsibility NOT anyone elses. It's up to me and my wife to raise our children properly, NOT the government.
Spoken like someone who is willing to give up his freedoms to make his life a little easier. It's a slippery slope, watch your step!
What the hell does this mean? I'm all for rating systems and content advisories to keep parents informed about the level of violence and etc in games/movies and such. I just don't believe that we need to rely on the government to do a parents job.
My AOpen AK-73 Pro(A) also speeks diagnostic information if something isn't right. It'll talk in 3 or 4 different languages too. But that's not the best feature, the PCB is black...:)
I've finally managed to download all 66MB via my lowly 56K modem. It installs just fine and then, to my horror, playing on the internet is horrible. Oh well, now when is the single-player demo going to be out?
I was like the article describes, but only on the 11th. After that, I've tried to keep the news-watching down to the minimum required to get new information only. I have three small children and I definitely do not want them to have to witness this tragic event over and over. It's enough that they'll have to read about it later in school. Also, I myself don't want to become too desensitized to the whole thing either.
This game would be a perfect candidate for Nintendo's "Toon-style". I just have to wonder if they'll end up making it more like the 3D episode, you know, the one where every gets sucked into the black hole.
It's just too bad that we have to depend on the manufacturer of an entertainment device to protect our children. When will people realize that all the hardware in the world isn't going to change the fact that it's up to the parent (or parent) to mold and shape their children. It's not the job of the maker of a video game console, or television, or DVD player.
I have DSL and can do about 700kbs both ways. Unfortunately, I don't have a computer fast enough to play anything newer than Quake II. Well, I guess Diablo II ran fine, however, I'm not much of an RPG kind of guy. Can't wait till that tax refund check comes in...
And then there's Reflex Communications whose purpose is to give broadband access to communities that aren't able to connect via cable or telco DSL. The price is very reasonable also.
Is a hack!
What is so horrendous about ALT+LMB????
It's wrong?
Cool?
Be careful though, you might get the local police called on you if you're too good of an actor.

It's free software after all, how else are the developers supposed to make money? Not that I approve...

This is most excellent. It should be up to the parents to monitor what their children are playing anyways, not the local government.
So, how long will it be until we see portable PS2s and then an XBOX? That would be cool.

that noticed definite weirdness with the Classic Theme on the first run?

Sweet...

Sure! http://www.python.org/download
I really never cared much at all for turn-based gaming. It's so much more fun to just run into a room shooting at everthing that moves....
But you're missing one thing... the US is not Turkey.
Of course, that's if you wanted a Dreamcast instead of a PS2.
