Un fortunately the lameness filter is a real pain in the arse otherwise i'd post it here so you didn't have to go to a new url.
WTF? i just downloaded that sample file to see if i have been slugged on the sample. and yep, my domain is on the list, however it's for a bogus address. Just another one to add to the pile of "email addresses i never used, and now certainly will never want to".
Someone just get a sharp stick and gouge out his eyes please.
If there were any shareholders in the company (i.e. the company was listed), then they would be entitled to the IP and any of its proceedings if the company folded, went bankrupt, etc..
At least that is how i understand it, and i'm a pleb when it comes to how companies are run.:-)
I believe it's something to do with the drivers only allowing you to access the dvd in what's referred to as "packet mode", basically it "streams" the content from the dvd, and doesn't access it as a file. I'm sure it operates differently when a data DVD is inserted, but that is what i was led to believe was how it worked with the video versions of the disk.
I hear similar things from my workmates about the laptops and desktops & I wrestle daily with a HP/Compaq d350.
Build quality on these things seem to be consistent with the vx motherboards made by via in 1998. i.e. CRAP! Whenever i move my usb mouse i hear RF noises through the system speaker. This is a problem i can reproduce on *ALL* of our desktops of this model.
even further offtopic, those marketing "geniuses" that thought up the sadsack butterfly man on the MSN tv adverts out to have the bejesus smacked out of them.
By default my isp (iinet.net.au) has blocking of inbound (to the user) ports, from memory 80, 25 13x and a couple of others (as well as possibly some outbound ports, im not exactly sure).
To configure if you wish to have this port blocking enabled or disabled for yourself you need to go to what they refer to as your "user toolbox" on their website, this has your account details, as well as usage as well as "firewalling", which allows you to let them block most requests on "bad" ports for you, or if you wish to let your setup do it itself.
Sometimes the quantities of shit out there amazes me, but then again with all these people offering to 3nL@rg3 my P3n!s and so forth, why should i really be suprised.
Server relocation on a Friday night Sequence of events as follows:
21:00 Temporary server configured and gotten to data centre (a hour off schedule, but the boss *insisted* on using some SSI's i had never used before) 22:00 Server at new colo. 22:30 i arrive to reconfigure network interfaces according to colo requirements..
22:40 i have new gateway/ip/subnet mask rules given to me so server is able to sit behind the pix.
23:30 i phone the boss saying that the box has qfe0 up but i cant contact anything. 23:40 data centre opers give me a few suggestions as to ip's/gateways yet nothing is happening. 00:00 call liason for colo, left voicemail saying i cant get it working.
01:00 call him again.
01:05 call boss and advise above.
03:00 call guy one last time, no joy. the f*ker still isn't communicating. I have at this stage done everything, checked interfaces, changed cables, verified the printed instructions i was given by the colo liason. this continues until 06:00 when i sms the boss saying it isnt any good.
08:00 boss comes by to make sure i haven't gone mad, everything is correct, boss proceeds to nick off and leave me to it. 09:00 The fucker liason calls me and says the settings are right. i still keep trying 10:00 i get another call from him. he gave me not just a slightly wrong address, but one that isn't even close in *ANY* of the ranges. 10:10 interfaces are configured and communicating with the outside world. 10:15 i proceed to go and buy breakfast from a cafe and go to my car only to find some bastard broke into it overnight.
Fortunately my mum, dad, sister and girlfriend are all well trained in the arts of if-in-doubt-delete and how to download the latest virus def's weekly.:-)

Interesting to say the least. It seems to almost identically mirror the email version.
don't you mean "Emaciated" ? ;-)
And this is a bad thing how?
Simple experiment.
take note of how far you have to depress the throttle.
do 50mph (80km/h for me) in 4th and try to remember the angle of your foot, pop it up to 5th. Heck it may be about the same, i really don't know.
three fifth's of fuck all.
THAT's how much!
