    Personally, I suspect (and having watched a documentary, suspect even more) that the makers didn't know what was happening in 2001;

    No, Clarke knew what was going on. See The Lost Worlds of 2001, which is essentially a "Making Of..." book.

    I made the same point last night.

    I live in CA. There's not a snowball's chance in hell that the state will go anywhere but to Kerry. So why would I be "throwing away my vote" by voting for Badnarik?

    Also, by the "Throw Away Your Vote" logic, unless you vote for the guy who actually winds up becoming President (whoever it may be), you've essentially "thrown away your vote", because you voted for the loser.

    Oh man! I used to have one of those!!! 1973 or so.

    To be honest, I find analog nicer, because it allows "at-a-glance" reading.

    Remember when digital dashboards were all the rage coming from Detroit? The speedometer was a 2 number LED display.

    Now, most dashes are analog, and any digital ones *simulate* an analog dash.

    You forgot the part where they also ask (again!) for every internal iteration of every file used in AIX and Dynix.

    SCO requsting IBM give a delay to a deadline for filing a delay request. And if IBM does not agree to SCO's request to delay the deadline for filing their delay request then SCO is threatening to go to the judge to file a request to delay the deadline for filing a request for a delay.

    Judge Wells initially set a deadline of next February for the discovery phase of the suit to be complete. Until and unless that deadline would need to move, I think he'll let SCO continue to litigate anything and everything they want.

    Not sure why he didn't use it, but it may have to do with his own personal experience from WWI. Hitler was the victim of a gas attack during WWI.
